Power Run/Option Playbook

Hoping we can get some good suggestions here!

Really trying to find a way to re-create the Nebraska dynasty from yesteryear on this game. But, as it has been well documented, the Power Option as well as may iso and power run plays out of the I and Ace are broken. Blocking AI is just incorrect and you can’t make the reads.

Having said that, what playbook/plays give you the best opportunity to create this style?

I know PowerofRed25 had a custom Spread-I playbook that accomplished this, but I can’t find it ANYWHERE.

Love to hear some thoughts on plays or custom playbooks out there.

Re: Power Run/Option Playbook

Great Stuff!! Def gonna give that a go.

I’m not sure if that’s the playbook I was referring to or not, as it seems like it’s for NCAA12, but it looks promising.

I’m basing all of this on the assumption that PowerofRed is the same guy as “TXHusker05” from a different site.

Like trying to find a needle in a haystack. I really appreciate your help!

Here you go:

One of my favorite topics. I know you probably wanted the 1.0 version, which was Osborne. This is Malzahn. The Osborne version is basically laid out in the Power Of Red25 post.

I love this topic. I'm constantly designing plays in the editor and adjusting my playbook.

Re: Power Run/Option Playbook

In coach mode I use a custom playbook with formations in the pistol. For running I like plays in which a tight end or fullback go in motion and overload one side of the field with blockers.

Here's a link to a downloadable .pdf of the real '96 Husker playbook.

https://www.footballxos.com/download...-playbook-pdf/

Here's the '83 Husker playbook.

If you go to the main page, there is other playbook .pdfs you can download.

That site has been a great resource over the years. I don't think they update it anymore though. I think that site doesn't have any playbooks newer than 2013. I've thought about creating a similar site that's more user-friendly and with much less ads and such. I've pretty much downloaded all of their playbooks anyway with a ton of new ones add recently.
