I'm Going To Beat My Son By 100n Am I Wrong?

I'm playing this football game against him on Roblox and he talking madd smack. We are about to play Madden next. I'm about to teach him a lesson. No mercy. I'm going for 100 on him. Am I wrong? Have any of you done that to your kid after he got cocky?

I had done the same to my nephew when he challenged me to NFL Blitz 2000 three years ago. I beat him by 40+ each games, he was demoralized because he talked a big game. Last year, he challenged me again. He proceeded to hand my *** to me on a silver platter. I couldn't have been more proud.

And salty.

But mostly proud.

My son beat me in that game and was talking madd junk. I'm not gon lie, I got tight lol. The competitor came out in me. So now, I'm a have to give it to him. He still mouthing off lol! He gone crying by the end of the night.

You're not wrong at all. In doing so, your child (unlike many others) will know what a handy defeat tastes like. Thus, when he loses at something at school, he won't go crying to a counselor or film himself crying on TikTok. My kid found out how it felt to lose ASAP, and is better for it now.

As long as you teach your kid proper humility in defeat. There's a fine line in learning how to take a loss and disrespect. As long as he had fun, it'll be easy.

Just make sure you stop taking rematches by the time he can beat you.

I remember when my daughter was about 14 and she was playing 2K16 I think. She thought she was pretty good. I challenged her to a game, and I lost. I was talking it before the game.

I was so mad and asked for a rematch, which she declined. I banned her from my playstation until I got the rematch. I never did, but eventually let her back on. I guess I learned a lesson that day, I stopped talking trash and taking games so seriously. Deep down I was proud of her, but we never brought it up again.
