“…..Aside from some minor upgrades, the on-field gameplay hasn’t seen enough improvements to distinguish it all that much from last year….”

The much appreciated attention regarding presentation upgrade coupled with the already great gameplay. I’m only ten games in and I’m joyed at what I’m seeing on the field. Shocked actually. There are a lot of great “wow” moments.

It's misleading to describe the WBC as being included in the game. You mention the "only downside is not being able to play the actual tournament" but that's more than just a downside. I wouldn't even say the WBC is included in the game if you can't actually play a WBC tournament. Maybe I am in the minority, but I have no desire to play diamond dynasty anything. It would have been far better to include the actual WBC so fans can experience the tournament as World Cup modes do in FIFA, etc. They have had several years since the last WBC to plan for that to mode be in the game this year. Inexcusable that the tournament itself isn't included and all they added were rosters in DD. Lame

I don't understand how you can give a review for a game after only a week or less from release date. Play for at least a month. Give a more in depth review instead of just a cover story review. I suppose there are deadlines to meet, but nothing was said we didn't already know before the game even released.

The fact that someone can say “the N leagues saves the day” goes to show how low the bar is for MLB the show fans. I have never seen a player base so easy to please. My personal opinion the game is a huge disappointment. Even the base roster is poorly thrown together.

They should definitely fire the guy who makes the menu’s. I don’t know who you are but sorry man you gotta go. The mange squad screen is such a downgrade compared to last year. I mean that’s an accomplishment on its own.

Not sure most fans would agree with this reviewer about saving the day tho.

I just can't bring myself to pull the trigger yet. I'm still enjoying '22. I like some of the new presentation stuff but it's not enough for me to invest $70 in. Might change my mind next week though, never know.
