Re: WWE 2K23 MyGM Mode

I'm looking forward to this. Even with outdated rosters in the game, my gm can make up for that since it'll be CAWs in it

Re: WWE 2K23 MyGM Mode

I really enjoyed this mode last year and it got me back into wrestling. It was basically the only mode I played so I'm definitely excited about this year. While it could still be better it was more additions then I expected and I can now trade in 2k22.

I'll prob wait a month or so to buy the game as CAW is basically all that I use. I recreated 86 and 87 rosters that I posted on here. So I'm thinking I'll go with 88 this time around. The additional seasons and matches will be huge. Because last time I had extra wrestlers that I couldn't get on the card. I'll be able to throw them into a match this time even if they aren't in a feud.

My ps5 online ID is the same as on here “georgiafan”.

You will have to find the CAW on your own as no way to just download the ones I do (that I know of). I’ve started downloading some of them but not a ton of greats Ones out just yet from that era. It’s looking like it will take some time to get the masses as the great ones will take their time. For example I found everyone last year even the smaller guys like mike sharpe, uncle Elmer, Jim powers etc. it just depends on how picky you are on the smaller guys.

What I’ll be doing tomorrow is I’m going to make a list of everyone that appeared in a PPV/Saturday main event in 88 and 89 then do the same for WCW. I’ll also make target legends list as well. Then I’ll check that off as I download them. I can send that info over since I mostly just play my gm the move sets aren’t a big deal to me.

Re: WWE 2K23 MyGM Mode

I made everyone specialists and evened out heels and faces. Really loving how it plays out this way. Keeps it a lot more simple to just book matches with everyone on same level.

Question...has anyone thought of running a Universe mode through GM mode? Just control up to four brands and book shows and ppvs this way? Unfortunately no way to add custom titles or cross brand titles but I am thinking about trying it. Universe mode is overwhelming for me.

Re: WWE 2K23 MyGM Mode

My detailed review of My GM mode after a trial run. I was out of the wrestling game for years and this mode with the CAW got me back last year. I ended up enjoying the mode despite it being basic and simple and got 20-30 hours from it and got the $ out of the game.

I held on to last year's game till I saw if any changes were going to be made. I am happy to report this year's mode is much improved from last year. The headliners being more match types, more shows, mid card titles, career achievements and multiple seasons.

After I finished the drafted I rolled over 600K. I should have used that on 3-4 guys to fill out the roster. Instead, I spent it on 2 stars and had to sign 2 jobbers for promos. That decision was a mistake and it hurt all year and lead to stamina problems.

It's really a game of cat and mouse now and you have to strategize what you're doing. You can't just load up on cage matches because people will get injured and I saw longer injuries this year. I didn't have enough wrestlers on my roster and by the last 2 months all my guys were tired and I was struggling to fill out my card. I saw a few injuries but got lucky they weren't more. Because of this I had to just run normal matches.

The $ feels a lot better than last year as then by the halfway point you had so much $ it became useless as your roster was full and all your logistics unlocked. Because I was mostly running normal matches toward the end I had more $ then the CPU. Even then I didn't have enough to go on a spending spree. This brought more value to the free logistics cards you got. I did my trial with $ 2.7 million which I'll keep it at that as I liked the challenge also They are a few more higher options on $.

The shakeup cards is something that didn't do much for me so I'll likely turn those off.

The seasons while unlimited (or close to it) does only have 25 weeks which I didn't like at first. This does make it easier to map out feuds when drafting to last you the whole year. I'll have to see how it plays out, but it does have some cool additions. You do get some awards at the end of the year and shows some stats.

Since the seasons are shorter it allows you to draft more which is one of the most fun thing to do in any sports game. This means your roster will be fresh and should keep things fun. Depending on how you finish you can keep 3-6 guys with the team that finished 1st only getting 3. Your keepers will come off your budget and since most wrestlers have higher popularity for the draft $ is going to be tighter. Even though I only keep 3 I was able to draft some of the same guys I had year 1. Having the most $ from year 1 came in huge for me as It allowed me to sign some guys going into year 2 that I wouldn't have been able to.

They were also a few people that demanded $ and some I had to say no to. I had some leave because of it and others that were about too. I also had a jobber want to join me and said he would work for free. When I did the keeper section for season 2 I don't think it let me keep anyone that had low morale.

Even though I just did one season I know I'll love this mode and it will have a ton of replay value for me. All of the additions are great and I'll have a blast playing it.
