Dynasty scouting

Anybody here run into a problem when scouting in dynasty mode and you scout the prospect and it deducts points from your allotted points for the week but it will not scout the prospect and as many times as you hit the x button it will not scout the prospect but keep deducting points. I have run into this problem in the past but i forget how to fix it. Thanks

What year's version are you playing? I got NCAA Football 12, 13, and 14 on XBOX 360 that I play fairly consistently. I could try to replicate it.
