Exporting/Importing players to and from Franchise mode

I have a question regarding franchise mode. Can you export and import players into and out of a franchise mode save?

The last version of the game I bought was MLB the show 20 and for that version, It was possible under certain circumstances that I vaguely remember.

Is this possible in 22, or better yet, is it going to be possible in 23?

I am looking into maybe buying 23 but I will like to know this before I buy. I have done some research but what I find seems to be a bit dated.

Also, for anyone that has used this feature, do the stats stay with the player? In other words, let's say I sim 10 years into the future and mike trout has 600 hrs. If I export him out of that franchise and imported him into a brand new franchise save. Will he have 600 hrs or will his hr total be 0?

Any information would help

Thanks

Re: Exporting/Importing players to and from Franchise mode

players like Mike Trout, basically 99.99% of all players with mlb service time cannot be imported or exported. been that way forever and no reason to think that will change anytime soon.

but players who are not ''hard-coded'' into the game can be imported or exported. to export from franchise you must start your franchise file with cpu roster control ON

this is possible in 22, 21, 20, 10-19, and not positive about before that but I'm assuming it will be possible in 23 or a lot of classic historical roster makers gonna be upset

Thanks for clarifying. Looks like what im trying to do will work. Im planning on using one created player on player lock and having him exported out everytime i want to start a new franchise.

that will absolutely work, exporting any created player.
just remember cpu roster control has to be ON before start of franchise

Like said above, roster control must be on. This means no injuries in your franchise as a side effect.

Also, keep in mind that the simming of stats will not do what it used to do and be previous years. If you sim 5 seasons with a player then export him, it will show stats for 2022, 2023, 2024, etc. then when you sim/play that first new season is will say 2022 again with the future years before it.

The best way to do this is so u can still have injuries and those things on is to just either write down your CAP vitals, bio etc, face numbers, equipment etc or make screen shots or youtube/twitch video of your player then you can have him on any franchise or game, but i guess without stats.

Only way to carry him over or another franchise on same game is using CPU ROSTER CONTROL to on without injuries during your season as mentioned above.
