Who do you miss from past Shows?

Thought I’d start a general topic to kill time while we all wait for news on 23’.

What former players do you all miss from previous Show titles that have retired and are no longer available?

As a Jays fan I miss playing with the 07’/ 08’ Jays.

Vernon Wells
Aaron Hill
Lyle Overbay,
I’d always trade for David Wright to play 3rd.

Ah the good old days.

Outside of possibly Wright I don’t see any of any personal favourites ever returning as legends in the game so all I’ll have is memories.

Any other long time players have favourites they’ll never play with again?

Not a who, but a what.

I miss having bobblehead and firework nights. As well as setting ticket prices and jersey prices. Being able to purchase more stands to have a higher attendance

(I also remember these things not playing a factor in anything but still fun)

I'm sad that I spent too many years just focusing on straight up rebuilds that didn't involve Toronto. As a Jays fan, that kept me away from spending much time with the team in my early baseball days...Just from a quick "Who do I wish I had played with?" thought, I'd say:

-Roy Halladay
-Roger Clemens
-Chris Carpenter
-David Wells
-Mike Trout (He's still great, but I just refuse to use the Angels for some reason?)
-Shohei Ohtani (Again, still around, but I should absolutely play with him at some point).

In the past, if I ended up drafting a high-potential CF, I've edited his batting stance and name to Ken Griffey III...didn't adjust attributes, and would just let him develop. I think this year, depending on who I end up picking early, I'm going to either do a "Roy Halladay Jr.", and build him in that mold so that I can get him to the bigs some day as the Jays "Ace of the future", or, if it's an outfielder, maybe a "Barry Bonds Jr.", or even a "Jose Bautista Jr.".

I feel like the game had an in-depth franchise mode, but still simple and intuitive in the 08-12 era. Also the player models seem huge to me now, compared to before. I liked the scale on the older games a little more... maybe it's just me though.
