Realistic stats?

I’m on my second year of the show with the Cardinals. Trying to keep up with rosters and such so I just started the 2023 season.

I thought I had my sliders dialed in. I’m 6-4 to start the season. Averaging 7.2 hits per game. Computer is 6.5 average against me.

But anyways after 10 games I just went to look at stats to compare and I’m almost dead last on everything. Home runs for example I have 9. In 24th place. In first place The Phillis after 10 games have 24. I’m 29th in hits with 72. Boston has 121 in first. Doubles I have 10. Rockies have 27. RBI I’m 28th with 34. Dodgers have 66.

I figured my stats we’re average. Not last. I have a sim slider set I use when I simulate the cpu games. To throttle complete games basically. Do I need throttle cpu hitting sliders on my sim set? Does that do anything? Or do I need to up my offensive sliders for my games human and computer to get more offense?

Re: Realistic stats?

You need to increase sample size. Baseball stats take a while to level out and move to the mean.

Continue to plug along and the stats will follow. Don't worry about 6 percent of the season and being near the bottom in stats. The stats will come as you play.

That makes sense. I was just shocked to see that big of a gap and that much offense from other teams. I suppose they could “slow down” and I’ll catch up. But my worry was they’ll have record amount of hrs, hits, etc and I’ll be dead last on everything but still have a decent overall record with realistic games.

I’ll keep going how I’m going for now. Thanks for the reply!

Re: Realistic stats?

You could adjust your team's hitting sliders to increase their offensive production. You could experiment with the sliders to find the perfect balance, keeping in mind that if you make them too high, the game might become too easy, and if you make them too low, the game might become too hard.

It may be helpful to adjust your sim slider set to throttle CPU hitting, as well as increasing your offensive sliders for both human and computer games. This should result in more offensive production for your team. However, it's important to note that the sliders alone may not solve your problem, it also could depend on the players' abilities, your team's strategy and play style, as well as other factors that may affect the game. Keep experimenting with different settings and strategies to see what works best for your team.
