Too many Assisted tackles not enough Solo

This has been a problem for years and I’m trying to understand the implications it has on player development and off season dev upgrades.

Quite simple the game has way too many assisted tackles. The user ends up with more assisted tackles than solo tackles for their players (leading to higher total tackles numbers). The CPU is the opposite.

When looking at game to game progression it’s clear the game only counts solo tackles. But I do notice u get a xp bonus when u reach a certain amount of total tackles when u reach milestones. So this might balance out enough to not be a problem. Still frustrating when my SS rookie DT has a game with 7 assisted tackles and he is not given any xp for tackles when I look at progression after the game.

Regarding off season dev upgrades, there is a specific formula that’s been posted they give the marks a player needs to meet to upgrade. I’ll post it when I find it even tho it’s a couple years old.

But let’s focus on my SS rookie DT for now. The formula is based on their average rank they finish in tackles, TFL’s, and sacks (for DT’s).

The problem is the person put in a lot of work but it’s still unclear if that’s referring to solo or total tackles. Either way it sucks bc I’m going to have an advantage over the CPU if it’s total tackles and the CPU has the advantage in solo tackles.

But if it is based on solo tackles only it’s a huge problem bc my DT gets plenty of total tackles but few solos. So they wouldn’t get help upgrading from tackles in general whether it’s in a single game or in off season dev upgrades.

I know I wrote a lot, my basic question is simply does anyone have a clue if the off season dev upgrade criteria is solo or total tackles.

I’m okay with this. For years total tackle stats were broke and I been very vocal on this. They finally fixed it just a few maddens ago. I would argue they fix this it’ll break something else truth be told.

By fixing it they probably broke penalties even more than it already was lol
