Why are freethrows automatic in this game?

Why are freethrows automatic in this game for a few years? when 2k23 released, freethrows were actually a lot harder than in 2k22, yet a few weeks in we are back to freethrows being way too easy. ratings don't really matter, everyone is shooting way too good. for example, Christian Braun with a 71 freethrow rating is averaging 96 % with 111 of 116 shooting this season for me. superstar sliders.

i remember patchnotes said that the freethrow difficulty slider works now, but I cannot confirm that. I tested 0, I tested 100, it makes no difference. freethrows are automatic for most players. only when your player got a shooting animation which is a little bit harder, you might miss a few. still easy enough that Giannis averages 85 % in our league...

Unless there’s other people disagreed I definitely agree it needs to be addressed and corrected. I have my free-throw difficulty up to 80 and I’m still getting perfect greens quite frequently. I remember correctly I thought people were complaining at the games lines free throws were extremely difficult so I think they must’ve nerved the difficulty to too easy on the next patch

I have the same problems, but I had them from the beginning so I don't think it's a patch that did it.

when the game released, most people in our league where shooting below 60 % from the line, even with good shooters.

don't understand what is so hard in balancing freethrows....its really the easiest thing to balance in my opinion. you have a rating that directly correlates to the players real life free throw percentage.if you time it well, just give him that percentage and thats it.
