era and play now

I just got the game last night and after being disappointed I researched to see you can NOT use and era to do a game in Play Now... I don't have the time or inclination to do a season I just want to play a random game using those rosters in Play Now...

Is there any indication that it will be added back as an option?

Good news is that you can do this with a button press combo to activate debug mode on certain screens contingent on console.

Bad news is you can't turn era filters off.

I have a PS5 and thought I saw that the patch eliminated that?

Here's what you do:

Lets say you want Celtics v Nuggets Bird Era.. control Celtics, go to bird - magic era and the time when they play nuggets. Put injuries off and then hit play.

You don't need to necessarily do a season, just manipulate it to what you need. Its not going to be perfect, but just use the tools to figure out what you need... for now.

On series x you can delete the game and reinstall it without internet and play ootb to re-access it.

^This is what I need to do. GoodyBucs' post reminds me of the kind of player I am: I like Play Now because as I've gotten older, I'm often interrupted by life when I start a game--that's why quick games appeal to me. Call me commitment-phobic but I'm just not a legacy or dynasty player, and I've never done a MyCareer.

Yeah in The Show I play random matchups and for Madden I use Play Now for matchups from the current week's schedule.
