NCAA Dynasty: Coach Karter
In between writers block I'll try to manage a Dynasty. I've done a dynasty before, admittingly I forgot how time consuming the extra-curricular activity is, no surprise my play-first write-later style was eventually too much to keep up with.
Ignore this thread for now and give me some time to iron out the format. I'm more of an advanced data historian than your typical dynasty creator, so don't expect much from me but minimal effort. I'm Chris, I write screenplays and stuff: https://writers.coverfly.com/profile/chriskarter follow me @ instagram.com/bigredmandingo or tiktok @ChrisKarter420 Rocket league ftw. Video Game: NCAA Football '14 Gaming Console: Xbox 360 Gameplay Difficulty Level: Heisman Recruiting Difficulty Level: Heisman Quarter Length: 7 minutes (championship & bowl games 8 minutes if I remember to change it) Gameplay Speed: Normal Gameplay Sliders: Default Rosters: Dynasty starting in '28 season. Most players are now fictional, game-generated characters. Penalty Sliders: Default Tuner Sets: Default Coaching Skills: Recruiting Tree Only ( I enjoy scouting dynamic ) - Win, Lose, or Draw - all results are permanent - All transfers must be accepted - Can't convince a player declaring for the draft to stay - User Schedule reflect real-life counterpart - Recruiting prospects must be interested, pipeline, or in-state only. - All Ranked, Rivalry, and Bowl games must be played. - I often decrease training results after training camp to prevent OP. - I occasionally rename players and edit equipment . . . .. ... .... ..... ...... ....... ...... ..... .... ... .. ... .... ..... ...... ....... ........ ......... .......... ........... ............ ............. .............. ............... ................ ................. .................. ................... .................. ................. ................ ............... .............. ............. ............ ........... .......... ......... ........ ....... ...... ..... .... ..... ...... ..... .... ... .. . . .. ... .... ... .. . . . THE 2027 SEASON JUST ENDED National Champion History: 2022: 13-1 Alabama Crimson Tide (BAMA 32, OSU 28) 2023: 13-1 Clemson Tigers (CLEM 24, BAMA 21) 2024: 13-1 Ohio State Buckeyes (OSU 30, OU 19) 2025: 14-0 Clemson Tigers (CLEM 36, UGA 27) 2026: 13-1 Alabama Crimson Tide (BAMA 28, MICH 17) 2027: 13-0 Notre Dame Fighting Irish (ND 35, CLEM 31) Notre Dame are the defending champs fresh off an undefeated season. In 2 years under new Head Coach Michael Bragnaccio, the Fighting Irish finished 11-2 with a Fiesta Bowl win in 2026 and won the national championship in 2027 with a perfect 13-0 record. Is Notre Dame prepped for a dynasty? The defending champs enter 2028 ranked #1 with a lot of expectations to repeat. The Clemson Tigers were the last team to win the natty and go undefeated, and they almost did it again in 2027 until their perfect season was snapped in the grand finale against Notre Dame. With Head Coach Dabo Swinney still in charge, the Tigers look like the heavy favorites to control the ACC and remain a thorn to the SEC elites. The Alabama Crime Tide are operated by the ageless sith lord Nick Saban. Surely retirement is imminent for the future college football Hall of Famer, unless he continues to suck the life force out of the best young recruits in the country via recruitment. What would college football be if the Crimson Tide weren't competing for and winning National Championships? Ohio State Buckeyes are still buckin' under Head Coach Ryan Day. He picked up where Urban Meyer left off and has kept the program among the very best in college football, winning Big 10 Championships and remaining in national title contention. But the Michigan Wolverines haven't made it easy for them, and still have title inspirations of their own. Head Coach Jim Harbaugh is still chasing that ever-elusive national championship after falling short in 2026. HISTORICALLY ACCURATE CONFERENCE RE-ALIGNMENT In 2023 Houston, Cincinnati, UCF, and BYU join the BIG 12. In 2024 USC and UCLA leave the PAC 12 join the BIG 10. In 2025 Texas and Oklahoma join the SEC. Neither team has yet to compete for the SEC championship, but both have maintained a presence in the Top 25. . . . .. ... .... ..... ...... ....... ...... ..... .... ... .. ... .... ..... ...... ....... ........ ......... .......... ........... .......... ......... ........ ......... .......... ......... ........ ....... ...... ....... ........ ....... ...... ..... .... ... .. . . . . .. ... .... ... .. . . . IN THE FUTURE: WHERE THE JOURNEY BEGINS... March 2nd, 2027 Tampa, FL - The state of Florida football is in disarray heading into the 2028 season. Once the collegiate football capital of the world behind the reigns of Bobby Bowden, Steve Spurrier, and Jimmy Johnson, the mighty empires of the Seminoles, Gators, and Hurricanes have crumbled into mediocrity. FSU, Florida, and Miami haven't won a conference championship in over a decade. After Florida State finished 4-8 in 2025, they fired HC Mike Norvell and replaced him with fan favorite Deion Sanders. After impressing in 2026 with an 8-5 record, losing in the Music City Bowl to Auburn, they posted a disappointing 5-7 record in 2027 that had many Noles fans calling for Deion's head on a spear. Miami has been quietly mediocre under HC Mario Cristobal since his hiring in 2022. However, they're coming off their best season yet after finishing 10-4 in 2026 and winning the Russell Athletic Bowl. Under HC Billy Napier the Gators have clearly been the most successful of the state's big 3 programs, starting with 4 winning seasons from 2022-2025 (8-5, 7-6, 9-4, 10-3 respectively) and 3 bowl victories including a Chik-Fil-A and Capital One Bowl. Their success crashed with back-to-back losing seasons in 2026 and 2027, and now HC Billy Napier enters 2028 on the hot seat. The powerhouse programs haven't been the only programs to falter in the sunshine state. UCF, USF, FAU, and FIU have all been unremarkable to downright atrocious as well. UCF joined what was left of the BIG 12 but hasn't made a significant an impact despite the departures of Texas and Oklahoma. FAU and FIU have been pedestrian at best and flirt with average. That leaves us with the South Florida Bulls... USF has been an embarrassment in recent years, and they're coming off a 2-10 season that lead to the firing of which ever unlucky sap was their last HC. USF has been so bad that they reach into the state's high school coaching pool and hire the Head Coach of South Fort Myers High School, Chris Karter, to take over the reins of their program. It's a controversial hire at best, as Coach Karter has zero collegiate or professional experience. Despite South Fort Myers brief yet successful run with Coach Karter at the helm, they're still a far cry from the likes of IMG Academy, St. Thomas Aquinas, and Booker T. Washington. Quick analysis of USF's hiring of HC Chris Karter: Pros: - Dominated NCAA on Xbox - Likes pizza - Eye for talent Cons: - Degenerate - Unprofessional - Inexperienced Last edited by War Daddy Rambo; 10-16-2022 at 10:30 PM. |

USF Introductory Conference
USF is coming off a 2-10 season that lead to the firing of which ever unlucky sap was their last head coach. In recent years, using the word pedestrian to describe the USF football program would be complimentary. USF has been so bad that their athletic director thought it'd be a good idea to reach into the state's high school coaching pool. After bribes, blackmail, and treachery, the University of South Florida officially hired Chris Karter, previously the Head Coach of South Fort Myers High School, to take over the reins of their program. It's a controversial hire at best, as Coach Karter has zero collegiate or professional experience. Despite the brief yet successful run South Fort Myers has had with Coach Karter at the helm, they're still a far cry from the likes of IMG Academy, St. Thomas Aquinas, and Booker T. Washington. Quick analysis of USF's hiring of HC Chris Karter: Name: Chris Karter DOB: 1/4/1989 Hometown: Fort Myers, Florida Alma Mater: Florida State University Pros: - Dominated NCAA on Xbox - Likes pizza - Eye for talent Cons: - Degenerate - Unprofessional - Inexperienced Last edited by War Daddy Rambo; 10-18-2022 at 11:49 PM. |

2028 National Signing Day
RECRUITING SPOTLIGHT Trey Morgan ★★★ (#29 QB, #459 Nat) SPARQ 65.00 6'4", 194 lbs - Delrey Beach, FL 40: 4.68 BP: 235 SQ: 260 + good pocket presence + accurate in the pocket - Does not drive the ball with velocity down the field - decent speed, but not mobile enough to evade tackles - needs to secure the ball Has the ideal height for QB but needs to fill out his frame. Does not drive the ball with velocity down the field. Questionable arm strength but good pocket awareness and nice touch on his passes. Adequate athlete. Despite a decent pair of legs underneath him, not much of a threat as a runner. NFL Player Comparison: Teddy Bridgewater JUCO JR Jason Torres ★★★ (#69 ILB, #1423 Nat) SPARQ 64.00 6'2", 243 lbs - Boaz, AL 40: 4.54 BP: 425 SQ: 620 + Moves like an NFL linebacker + Flies to the ball + good form as a tackler - JUCO transfer - pass rush handwork needs improvement Dismissed from Alabama as a freshman following solicitous accusations involving a lunch lady, a spatula, and the team's peanut butter. Former 4-star prospect; fast, strong, and athletic. Has a nose for the football. Solid form tackling with pop. Just average in coverage. Above average lateral movement. Unimpressive pass rush with limited push. Needs to improve handwork and ability to fight through blockers. NFL Player Comparison: Devin White Last edited by War Daddy Rambo; 10-18-2022 at 11:55 PM. |

2028 PRESEASON: Schedule, Roster, Depth Chart, Top 25
USF NAMES TRUE FRESHMAN STARTING QB | BULLS PLANNING RUN HEAVY ATTACK, LEAN ON LEGS OF SENIOR RB'S | NFL DRAFT PROSPECT: ALONZO SEARS | OTHERS WORKING TO CHASE DREAMS Freshman QB Trey Morgan soundly beats out Sophomore QB Martel Nealy after several weeks of practice, effectively ending the open QB competition. Offensive Coordinator Roger Daytona said "we gave Nealy a fair shake, but it was clear that Morgan was the more talented passer and we'll be moving forward with him as the starter," before going on to tell reporters how much work Trey still has to do in the offense. Listed as the #3 QB on the depth chart is Sophomore QB Mitch Joestar, who received limited reps this spring. With an inexperienced Freshman at QB look for the Bulls to rely on the legs of their two senior workhorse Running Backs in Reggie Chavez (5'11", 218 lbs) and Jacoby Dennis (5'9, 212 lbs). They split carries under the previous regime and were an effective one-two punch. CB Alonzo Sears is a 1st-Team Conference All-American and the only clear-cut NFL prospect on the Bulls roster. With numerous grades from analyst typically giving him a 1st Round grade, it would be a shocker if he fell much further than Day 2. Only a disastrous senior campaign, scandal, or drastic injury could negatively impact his draft stock that much. There are plenty of other players that are still chasing that NFL dream, with several starters on the roster trying to improve their draft stock this season and catch the attention of NFL scouts. HB Reggie Chavez, TE Aubrey Lazard, and LB Darnell Jackson are some of those NFL hopefuls, and even if they go undrafted, they'll likely be high priority free agents after the NFL Draft. "Win a national championship, or a conference championship. That's the goal every year, but individually, I'd like to get at least 1000 yards and 10 touchdowns." Reggie Chavez says. "I've dreamed of playing on Sundays, and I feel like if I can get in the end zone enough, the scouts will take notice." TEAM CAPTAINS: CB #25 Alonzo Sears - 5'11", 188 lbs - Cutler, FL HB #42 Reggie Chavez - 5'11", 218 lbs - East Naples, FL TE #86 Aubrey Lazard - 6'5", 260 lbs - Goldenrod, FL LB #57 Darnell Jackson - 6'2", 228 lbs - Fort Myers, FL ☆☆☆☆ 2028 ROSTER:
2028 DEPTH CHART:
CAN #1 NOTRE DAME REPEAT AS CHAMPS? The Fighting Irish are the 2027 National Champions and enter the season ranked #1. They're led by Heisman winning QB Jermaine Barnett who returned to cement his college football legacy and make his case as the #1 QB in the upcoming draft.

2028 Season (USF): Box Scores, News, Dynasty Wire
WEEK 1: BYE WEEK #8 PSU SKIM BY WAKE FOREST | ALMOST UPSET | PSU 23, WAKE 17 The #8 ranked Penn State Nittany Lions start the season with a shaky start, almost dropping a close game to the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. GATORS SURVIVE OWLS | IT TAKES OT, BUT UF WINS | UF 38, FAU 31 OT The Florida Gators required a 33-yard FG from their kicker with 11 seconds remaining in the 4th quarter to push this game into overtime. In OT the Gators would score a quick TD and successfully keep Florida Atlantic out of the end zone to secure the win. VOLUNTEERS SURVIVE SHOOTOUT WITH TARHEALS | VOLS WIN SEASON OPENER | TENN 42, UNC 35 After falling behind 28-14, a 3rd quarter INT returned for a TD by TENN DB Damien Hall sparked the Volunteers comeback. Tied 35-35 in the final minute of the 4th quarter, TENN QB Andrew Hayden would hit WR Jaron Smith for a 25-yard TD pass and the go-ahead TD with 18 seconds left on the clock. _________________________________________________ WEEK 2:
BULLS WIN SEASON OPENER | COACH KARTER'S USF DEBUT A SUCCESS | CHAVEZ POUNDS HUSKIES FOR 128 RUSHING YARDS AND 1 TD | USF 24, UCONN 17 Tampa, FL - The Southern Florida Bulls started the season by putting the ball in the hands of their team captain HB Reggie Chavez, but he fumbled the ball away on the opening drive, a turnover that led to a UConn TD 3 plays later. For USF fans, it looked like it was going to be a long day in the heat, but the fumble didn't deter USF coaches from calling Reggie's number. The Bulls continued to feed him the ball, and he gashed up the Huskies defense on the next drive, pounding the ball into the end zone from the 2-yard line to tie the game up at 7. Before the first half was over USF would take a 21-17 lead with 21 seconds remaining on a 4-yard touchdown run from HB Jacoby Dennis. If you'd bet the game was going to be a shootout, you'd have lost your wager, the second half was a defensive one. USF was content with their lead, pounding the ball on the ground and minimizing risk. With USF's conservative approach, and UConn's inability to get anything going against the Bulls defense, both teams remained scoreless until a 34-yard USF field goal late in the 4th quarter that would put the Bulls up 24-17. Despite the blunder on the opening possession, USF HB Reggie Chavez ran well, and his contribution helped open up the play action pass for USF Freshman QB Trey Morgan who finished the day 17 for 21 with 214 Passing Yards, a respectable outing for a Freshman Quarterback making his collegiate debut. It's rare that the O-Line get any attention for something positive, but USF OG Alex Hutchinson was a bulldozer up front, opening up running lanes for the two-headed rushing duo of Reggie Chavez (23 CAR, 128 YDS, 1 TD) and Jacoby Dennis (14 CAR, 47 YDS, TD) all game long. PLAYERS OF THE GAME: USF - HB Reggie Chavez (23 CAR, 128 YDS, 1 TD, 5 REC, 51 YDS) USF - LB Darnell Jackson (3 TKL, 2 TFL, 1 SK) UCONN - HB Derrick Nixon (13 CAR, 82 YDS, 1 TD, 1 REC, 6 YDS) UCONN - FS Matthew Clark (7 TKL, 1 TFL, 1 FR) NOLES UPSET #1 FIGHTING IRISH | DEION MAKES COACHING STATEMENT | FSU 56, ND 42 In a 56-42 shootout the unranked Florida State Seminoles upset the #1 ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish in what is FSU HC Deion Sanders biggest win during his coaching tenure at his alma mater. TIDE ROLL AGAINST SOONERS | BAMA TOO GOOD FOR OKLAHOMA | BAMA 31, OU 23 The #2 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide open the season with a 31-23 victory over the #15 ranked Oklahoma Sooners. GATORS SQUEAK BY AUBURN | TIGERS COME UP SHORT IN SWAMP | UF 28, AUB 26 The Florida Gators improve to 2-0 with a big win over the #10 ranked Auburn Tigers with a 28-26 victory in Gainesville. Curtis Ross ★★★★★ (#10 ATH, #41 Nat) SPARQ 76.00 5'11", 181 lbs - Harvey, LA Tavares Roach ★★★★ (# 17 HB, #142 Nat) SPARQ 78.00 6'0", 232 lbs - Oakland Park, FL Herb Crosby ★★★★ (#6 OLB, #146 Nat) SPARQ 73.00 6'2", 232 lbs - Twinsburg, OH Billy Freeman ★★★ (#28 QB, #458 Nat) SPARQ 65.00 6'2", 222 lbs - Hanford, CA _________________________________________________ WEEK 3:
USF Senior DT David Jackson II warms up for #18 Miami Hurricanes BULLS WEATHER 'CANES | CHAVEZ BREAKS OUT FOR 174 YARDS | MIAMI'S 4 TURNOVERS PROVE COSTLY | COACH KARTER CONFIRMS RIVAL MENTALITY | USF 35, MIA 16 Miami, FL - USF came into the game with a "pound the rock" mantra and HB Reggie Chavez was up to the call, as he took the opening carry off tackle for a 75-yard TD run. USF's pass rush really had the Miami offensive line reeling, as they attacked Miami QB Johnnie Barber with a variety of complex blitzing packages to make the All-American uncomfortable and keep him second guessing. On Miami's first drive USF LB Jason Torres sacked MIA QB Johnnie Barber and forced a fumble that USF LB Reggie McBridge recovered. The turnover would lead to another USF HB Reggie Chavez touchdown giving the Bulls an early 14-0 lead in the first quarter, but Miami would rally with 13 unanswered points behind the legs of senior HB D.J. Hutchins who scored on rushes of 27 and 16 yards. With 0:54 left in the 2nd quarter USF WR Caleb Goddard scored on a 6-yard TD pass from QB Trey Morgan to give the Bulls a 21-13 lead, but Miami would strike quickly down the field to set their kicker Wilmer Franz up with a chance to knock down a 45-yard FG, which he did with plenty of leg. USF went into halftime with a 21-16 lead. Both teams running backs were stellar on the ground in the first half dashing the defenses for over 100 yards rushing. But as the game pressed on, turnovers would be the biggest difference between these two teams. Miami would finish the day with 4 and USF wouldn't turn the ball over once. USF LB Reggie McBride was wreaking havoc in the backfield. Before the day was over, McBridge had 2 sacks and 5 TFL. He had Miami's All-American QB Johnnie Barber looking downfield too often, which turned into coverage sacks for the eager Bulls defense. USF CB's Alonzo Sears and Jaeden Wagner did a good job on the outside keeping Miami wide receivers in check for most of the game and safeties Trevontae Miller and Dean Hackney were able to come up with interceptions when MIA QB Johnnie Barber took shots deep down the field. "This is a rivalry game to us." Coach Karter claims. "We compete for the same recruits, and a lot of the kids played with or against each other in high school. Personally, I grew up a 'Noles fan, so any chance to kick dirt on the 'Canes is good enough for me. As coaches, we threw fuel on that fire all week. The kids stepped up to the challenge." The Bulls defense kept the Miami offense out of the end zone in the second half, managing to control the clock with a consistent rushing attack and efficiently conservative passing attack. USF HB Reggie Chavez would score his 3rd TD in the 4th quarter with a 9-yard run that would give the Bulls the inevitable 35-16 victory. USF's HB Reggie Chavez and LB Reggie McBride were named the American Conference's Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week, respectively, for their performances against the Miami Hurricanes. PLAYERS OF THE GAME: USF - HB Reggie Chavez (18 CAR, 174 YDS, 3 TD, 2 REC, 20 YDS) USF - LB Reggie McBride (6 TKL, 5 TFL, 2 SK, 1 FR) MIA - HB D.J. Hutchins (15 CAR, 111 YDS, 2 TD, 2 REC, 8 YDS) MIA - LB Jarod Cameron (5 TKL, 2 TFL, 1 SK) FIGHTING IRISH OVERCOME WOLVERINES | WIN IN OT | ND 41, MICH 34 Last year's national champions rebounded from last week's embarrassing loss to unranked FSU with an OT victory over the #2 ranked Michigan Wolverines. BUCKEYES FALL TO GOLDEN BRUINS | UCLA'S DUNN SCORES HAT TRICK | UCLA 28, OSU 21 UCLA upset the #4 ranked Buckeyes with a strong rushing performance by HB Charlie Dunn who rushed for 164 yards and 3 TD on 29 carries. Marcellus Lewis ★★★★★ (#1 WR, #3 Nat) SPARQ 101.10 6'2", 218 lbs - Fort Valley, GA Cory Hall ★★★★★ (#4 WR, #18 Nat) SPARQ 76.00 5'11", 178 lbs - Pembroke Pines, FL Dylan Keyes ★★★★★ (#1 FS, #34 Nat) SPARQ 76.00 6'5", 210 lbs - Bay Minnette, AL _________________________________________________ WEEK 4: BYE WEEK BAMA BEAT TEXAS | LEGS OF CALHOUN CARRY TIDE TO WIN | BAMA 31, TEXAS 21 #1 ranked Alabama improves to 3-0 with a 31-21 victory over the previously ranked #13 Texas Longhorns. BAMA HB Dante Calhoun (24 car, 165 yds, 2 TD) was the workhorse the Crimson Tide needed to pound the Longhorns defense all game long. CLEMSON ROUTE DUKE | CLEM QB JANSEN TOSSES 5 TD | CLEM 44, DUKE 7 The Tigers rout Duke 44-7 as Clemson Heisman candidate QB Richard Jansen (20 for 24, 274 yds, 5 TD) lit up the scoreboard. His favorite target, Rasheed Willis (7 rec, 157 yds, 3 TD), found the endzone early and often as he burned the Blue Devils secondary frequently. VOLS DEFEAT RIVAL GATORS | IMPROVE TO 3-0 | TENN 38, UF 28 The Tennessee Volunteers defend their turf and defeat the Florida Gators. USF SCRAPES BY UAB | CHAVEZ CARRIES BULLS TO VICTORY | USF 30, UAB 24 Tampa, FL - The rain was pouring in Tampa as the Bulls hosted the Blazers for the first conference play of Coach Karter's career. The very first play of the game was freshman QB Trey Morgan faking the play-action pass and throwing a dime to Junior WR Tyler Simpson for a 74 TD pass that saw the Bulls jump out to an early lead they'd keep for the entirety of the game. After trading TD's in the first quarter, the Bulls started to pull away before the first half was over behind the strong rushing attack from USF HB Reggie Chavez who averaged 7.3 YPC and finished the day with 146 rushing yards and 1 TD on the ground. PLAYERS OF THE GAME: USF - HB Reggie Chavez (20 CAR, 146 YDS, 1 TD) USF - LB Jason Torres (3 TKL, 1 TFL, 1 SK, 1 INT) UAB - HB Robert Gross (11 CAR, 59 YDS, 2 TD, 2 REC, 9 YDS) UAB - DT Chris Garrison (8 TKL, 2 TFL, 1 SK) CRIMSON TIDE FALL TO REBELS | UNDEFEATED NO MORE | MISS 27, BAMA 24 In a stunning 27-24 loss in the SEC, the previously undefeated and #1 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide fall to the unranked Ole Miss Rebels. This loss not only shakes the SEC rankings up, but it could eliminate the Tide from national title contention. GOLDEN BEARS OUTLAST DUCKS | OREGON'S WINGS CLIPPED | CAL 28, OREG 21 The #5 ranked Oregon Ducks went into the game with the #1 ranked offense in the country, but it was the Golden Bear defense that prevailed. California went into the 4th quarter with a 28-7 lead, but the Ducks managed to strike twice before the game was over, but it was too little too late. The Bears would win 28-21. BULLS TWO HEADED RUSHING ATTACK TOO MUCH FOR ROAD RUNNERS | DENNIS RUNS FOR OVER 100 YARDS, 2 TD | USF DEFENSE STINGY IN THE RED ZONE | USF 27, UTSA 6 San Antonio, TX - Inside the dome the Road Runners hosted the Bulls in what would be a field day for USF running backs. USF HB's Jacoby Dennis and Reggie Chavez rushed for a combined 223 yards. The Bulls went into half time with a convincing 21-0 lead. The Road Runners did a better job in the second half keeping the chains moving, but a stingy USF defense kept them out of the end zone despite their offense driving the ball as close to the 3-yard line. On 4th and goal a tackle behind the line of scrimmage from USF LB Darnell Jackson would stop UTSA and force a turnover on downs. "We had a gameplan and we executed it. Jacoby (Dennis) and Reggie (Chavez) did a hell of a job toating the rock and hitting their holes today." Offensive Coordinator Roger Daytona tells reporters. "I'd like to see us protect the quarterback a little better, but overall, it was a good day at the office. UTSA is a tough team, and we're 4-0 baby. Let's keep working and stacking these dubs." "You ride the hot hand, every time." Roger says about splitting carries between Dennis and Chaves. "Today we have two hot hands. You have to get your playmakers the ball. Especially when they're on a heater, baby." Thus far USF's freshman QB Trey Morgan hasn't been asked to do a whole lot, but he's effectively managed the game and has been efficient when required to make throws. Both HC Chris Karter and OC Roger Dayota agreed with the need to get WR Caleb Goddard more targets. "When his number is called, he'll be ready." Coach Karter says with confidence. "I'm sure he'll get plenty of targets before the season is over, but it's a good thing when both of your running backs are averaging 7 yard a carry." PLAYERS OF THE GAME: USF - HB Jacoby Dennis (16 CAR, 116 YDS, 2 TD) USF - LE Ryan Ewing (3 TKL, 2 TFL, 2 SK) UTSA - QB Xavier McNeal (18 for 24, 189 YDS) UTSA - LE Blake Young (6 TKL, 3 TFL, 2 SK) #12 DUCKS STOMP TROJANS | DUCKS HB MYRON SILVA SCORED 4 TD | OREG 45, USC 6 The #12 Oregon Ducks rebound off their loss last week by running over the USC Trojans. UGA GIVE TENN FIRST LOSS | TD PASS IN FINAL MINUTE SEALS GAME | UGA 38, TENN 31 The rivalry game was tied 31-31 until 0:56 in the 4th quarter when UGA QB Collin Dingman hit WR Braylon Williamson for a 24-yard TD to give the Bulldogs a 38-31 lead. The lead would hold, and UGA moves to 4-1, Tennessee falls to 4-1. Texas snaps a two loss win streak, consecutive road games against Alabama and Auburn, with a win over their old BIG-12 rival improving their record to 3-2. Hoping to cool them off was the Bulls #4 ranked defense and cool them off they did. SMU QB Ray Bass was contained for the majority of the game and leading the charge on defense was USF's senior SS Arik Trout (7 TKL, 2 TFL, 1 INT, 1 TD) who was named the defensive player of the game after his performance. His presence was felt all over the field as he continuously made tackles and stopped ball carriers behind the line of scrimmage. "Arik Trout was a field general today." USF DC Ron Durando states following USF's victory. "He was all over the place, and he made big plays when we needed them." USF relied on the legs of Reggie Chavez to churn up big chunks of yards and wear the Mustang defense down. This opened up passing opportunities for freshman QB Trey Morgan who appeared to be in a good rhythm most of the game, outside of an errant pass that was intercepted by SMU CB James Blount. "That one was on me. I really tried to force it in there." Trey says, after the game. "Caleb (Goddard) hit a good hitch, and I had him, I just seen it late, and the DB (James Blount) made a good break on the ball. Came up with the pick. I need to get the ball out earlier." Other than that single turnover, the Bulls were effective on both sides of the ball. QB Trey Morgan spread the ball out among his most experienced targets in WR Caleb Goddard, WR B.J. Woodrow, and TE Aubrey Lazard. USF's Reggie Chavez fights for extra yards against Tulsa defender SHOOTOUT IN TULSA | USF'S QB MORGAN OUTDUELS TULSA'S QB CONCEPCION | FANS WONDER WHERE'S THE DEFENSE? | ESPN INSTANT CLASSIC | USF 49, TULSA 46 Tulsa, OK - Tulsa struck first on a 41 yard TD pass from QB Stephen Concepcion to WR Bobby Phillips who beat USF CB Denard Carr deep. USF would respond with a 14-yard TD pass of their own from QB Trey Morgan to WR Caleb Goddard. The game was tied after one quarter of play, but Tulsa started to pull away in quarter number two. USF found themselves down 17-7 with less than 2 minutes left in the 2nd quarter after a 10-yard rushing TD by Tulsa QB Stephen Concepcion. The ensuing kickoff would result in a 94-yard USF TD after team captain and CB Alonzo Sears took a kickoff untouched through traffic with 1:19 left in the 2nd quarter. That was really smooth by Alonzo Sears, he showed off forms of vintage Devin Hester, and that felt like the spark the Bulls needed. It wasn't. Tulsa QB Stephen Concepcion drove his team down the field and threw an 8-yard TD pass with 10 seconds left to give them a 24-14 lead before half time. USF slowed the game down to start the second half and USF HB Reggie Chavez would give the Bulls their first lead of the game following a pair of TD runs in the 3rd quarter. In the 4th quarter the Bulls extended their lead to 35-24 with a WR B.J. Woodrow 8-yard TD reception, but Tulsa would strike back on the next drive and convert a 2-pt conversion to narrow the deficit 35-32. With 3:05 left in the 4th quarter USF HB Neal Roberson would score on a 19-yard rush to give the Bulls a 42-32 lead, but Tulsa's QB Stephen Concepcion still had some fight in him. He led the offense down the field and punched the ball into the endzone himself on a 7-yard run with 2:04 left on the clock. Tulsa was down 42-39 when they did the unthinkable. They kicked and recovered an onside kick. The momentum was swinging in the Golden Hurricane direction, and Tulsa QB Stephen Concepcion had the ball in his hands again. Bulls fans were getting tired of this story, but how must they have felt when the Tulsa QB drove the ball down the field and scored a rushing TD from 1 yard out to give Tulsa a 46-42 lead with 0:43 seconds left in the game. "It was a punch in the gut." USF TE Aubrey Lazard says. "You could feel it suck the energy out the team, for a moment it was like a punch in the gut, but then we got right." And got right they did. USF's freshman QB Trey Morgan took the field with 43 seconds in the game, all 3 timeouts at his disposal, and Offensive Coordinator Roger Daytona in his corner. "I never doubted him for one second." USF OC Roger Daytona says. "He's been making big time throws all year." The USF Offensive Coordinator opened up the playbook for his freshman QB. Following back-to-back completions to WR Caleb Goddard and WR Tyler Simpson that resulted in big gains and first downs, USF QB Trey Morgan completed a 20-yard pass to WR B.J. Woodrow that put the Bulls in the redzone and within striking distance. The Bulls used their 3rd and final timeout with 11 seconds left in the game, giving them plenty of time to dial up the next play. When USF QB Trey Morgan walked his offense back to the line of scrimmage, he lined up in shotgun with 3 WR and 1 TE. When the ball was snapped, he dropped back in a 3-step drop, looked a defender off to the left, before firing a laser up the middle to TE Aubrey Lazard who catches it and walks it in for an easy 15-yard TD reception. Following the XP, the Bulls took a 49-46 lead with 7 seconds remaining on the clock. "It's just one of those games where it came down to who had the ball last. Thankfully, it was us." USF's Offensive Coordinator Roger Daytona says with a sly smile on his face. CHAVEZ'S 100 YD RUSHING STREAK STILL ALIVE | USF 41, FAU 31 Tampa, FL - The Bulls were the first to score points in the game, but they would find themselves down 17-14 at half time after FAU QB Cornelius Willis threw a quick 4-yard TD pass with 8 seconds remaining in the 2nd quarter to take the lead. The Bulls would come out and take control of the game in the third quarter. Mixing up the run and the pass adequately, the Bulls took a 21-17 lead following a 3-yard rushing TD from HB Reggie Chavez. Reggie Chavez would score his 2nd TD of the game early in the 4th quarter, and it was followed by an 11-yard TD pass from Trey Morgan to backup TE Jokary Dukes that would give the Bulls a commanding 34-17 lead after sophomore kicker Dominique Salazar shanked the extra point. All season long his leg has been inconsistent at best. After FAU scored late in the 4th quarter, USF QB Trey Morgan would record his first multi-interception game of his career after throwing his 2nd interception of the contest to FAU FS Jimmy Ford. Some of the blame for the interception could be diverted to TE Aubrey Lazard who had the ball bounce off his hands and into the defenders, but FAU would get the ball near mid-field. Two plays later, FAU QB Cornelius Willis was hitting his WR Keenan Corbett in stride for a 49-yard TD pass. After the XP went through the uprights the FAU Owls were only down 34-31. "You don't want to see that at the end." USF DC Ron Durando grumbles about the last FAU touchdown. "We need to finish the game. You gotta play four quarters of football. And maybe the refs should learn how to call #72 for holding, that big fella is the most handsy sum' bitch I ever saw." The window of an epic comeback collapsed when USF's WR B.J. Woodrow recovered the onside kick. Despite the Owls having a timeout left, USF HB Reggie Chavez broke out on a run that would put the Bulls at the goal line and knocking on the door. This rush extended his 100-yard rushing streak and you have to wonder if the coaches took that into consideration when they called that play. Either way, it was game over for the Owls, the ensuing play USF's QB Trey Morgan walked untouched into the end zone for a 1-yard TD that sealed the game. USF SUFFERS FIRST LOSS OF SEASON | 4TH QTR RALLY CUT SHORT BY INTERCEPTION | ECU HB ANDRE TAYLOR GASHES USF DEFENSE FOR 120 YARDS AND 3 TD | ECU 28, USF 23 Greenville, NC - Finally ranked in the top 25, USF surged into the game riding a 7 game win streak. The first half was a nightmare for USF. ECU HB Andre Taylor started the first quarter by running rampant on the USF defense, breaking away early for big chunks of yards until he eventually pounded the ball into the end zone from a short distance out for the first TD of the day. The second quarter started with USF's HB Neal Roberson fumbling the ball only to be recovered by the Pirates defense. Six plays later ECU QB Darius Jenkins was hitting WR Michael Brown for a 16 yard TD for the Pirates second score of the game. The only positive of the first half for USF was how it ended. USF WR B.J. Woodrow scored on a 46 yard touchdown pass from QB Trey Morgan in the final minute. USF was down 24-14 going into half time. ECU HB Andre Taylor would score the only TD of the third quarter with a 4 YD run to give the Pirates a 31-14 lead. In the 4th quarter, after another ECU touchdown pushed the game even further out of reach at 38-14 with less than a quarter left in the game, the Bulls tried to muster some pride and stage a fight. USF QB Trey Morgan hit WR Andrew Sanjay on a post route that he took 35 yards for a touchdown to cut into ECU's three score lead. USF P Marc Treangen punted a pooch that dropped inside ECU's 7 yard line. The next play USF LB Darnell Jackson slammed ECU HB Andre Taylor behind the line of scrimmage for a big loss. 2 plays after that USF LB Jason Torres blew through the middle of the line and tackled Taylor in his own end zone for a safety. Down 38-23, the Pirates had to punt it back to the surging Bulls with 2:02 in the game. It would've taken damn near a miracle to comeback, but it wasn't meant to be. The comeback was cut short after ECU FS Deacon Upshaw intercepted a pass by USF QB Trey Morgan whilst Morgan was under extreme duress from ECU LB Alex Vogel and company. The #23 South Florida Bulls suffer their first loss of the season and drop to 7-1. Their taste of the top 25 didn't last long after taking a beating from the ECU Pirates. "The monkey's off our back." Coach Karter says while talking about their first loss. "No more pressure of being undefeated. We know how that first loss is gonna taste. We were getting our asses kicked, but we played hard till the final whistle. I'll echo Coach Durando and the ghost of the gridiron, you gotta play all four quarters of football. At the end of the day, we missed too many opportunities and made too many mistakes." Fighting until the end didn't come without cost. HB Jacoby Dennis was knocked out of the game due to a concussion and starting RT Calen Ludwig was barely able to limp off the field on his own accord after suffering a pretty serious foot stress fracture. "It was unfortunate we lost him (Calen Ludwig) at the end. He was having a pretty good game. His leg just got rolled up in the pile. He's gonna miss some time." The USF Bulls defense came out fired up today, they held Navy to 10 first downs the entire game and forced 3 turnovers. USF led 17-14 in a relatively close game heading into half time, but the 3rd quarter turned into a stampede of touchdowns for the Bulls as they ran over the Midshipmen to get back into the win column. "That's how you rebound from a loss gentlemen." Defensive Coordinator Doug Durando says, proudly. "That takes grit, and cojones. And I've seen some of these guys head to the showers. USF CLOBBERS GRIZZLIES | USF 42, MEMPHIS 17 Memphis, TN - #24 ranked USF secured their top 25 ranking this time with a dominant win over the struggling Memphis Grizzlies. The Grizzlies weren't much more than a punching bag. USF put 21 points up in the first quarter and they did it quickly. USF HB Reggie Chavez saw his 100 yard rushing game streak come to an end when he was taken down awkwardly on a 9 yard carry, his first and only carry of the game, that resulted in an ankle sprain. He's not expected to miss much time, his benching was more of a preliminary caution. USF QB Trey Morgan was off to a hot start, threading the needle on numerous throws for big gains, and he even showed off his wheels on a 60+ yard TD run that makes you wonder why he doesn't scramble more often, but that hot start would come crashing to an end when he too was knocked out the game early in the second quarter following a first down carry. And that ladies and gentlemen, is exactly why he doesn't run more often. He was knocked out the game with what coaches are refusing to call a concussion. The Bulls fell to a 10-0 deficit early on but after the first quarter their defense revved it up and USF DE Jermaine Ross knocked Temple's QB E.J. Simmons out of the game with a concussion. After that it was all USF from there. The Bulls used their rushing game to keep the Temple defense honest and USF QB Trey Morgan (22 for 32, 265 YDs, 2 TD) ripped them apart. For the second week in a row the freshman QB's top target was senior TE Aubrey Lazard who hauled in 6 catches for 82 yards and a pair of touchdowns. USF FS Trevontae Miller lead the defense in tackles with 7 and the Bulls defense recorded 3 sacks on the day, a sack each from 3 different defenders. "Started off rocky, but we got the job done." USF DC Ron Durando says after the game. "It's probably a good thing we got away with roughing the passer a bit, because their QB (E.J. Simmons) was pretty hot coming out the gate." The Bulls scored first but the Knights would rally and go into the half with a 21-10 lead. UCF QB Larry Rodriguez was efficient in the first half and the Golden Knights Wide Receivers were getting open on this Bulls secondary. Down 28-17 with less than 6 minutes left in the 4th quarter, USF QB Trey Morgan hit TE Aubrey Lazard for a 32 yard TD pass. Reggie Chavez would punch in the 2nd point conversion to make it a 3 point game at 28-25. UCF took the ball and started driving, converting numerous 3rd down conversions to keep the drive alive which lead them down to USF's 15 yard line with control of the ball and a 28-25 lead. USF just used their first timeout of the game with 1:45 left in the 4th quarter. Then the unthinkable happened. UCF QB Larry Rodriguez hands off to UCF HB Antwan Barry and he takes the ball 5 yards across the line of scrimmage before USF FS Trevontae Miller strips the ball like a bandit with a turkey on Christmas. USF LB Mike Rodorov scoops it up, stumbles but keeps his footing as he takes off for the end zone, and USF DE Jermaine Ross decleats the UCF WR turned defender. LB Mike Rodorov shreds a WR near the 50 and outruns the rest of offensive line in pursuit to finish the play off with a 91 touchdown on a fumble recovery. After the extra point was successful, USF took a 32-28 lead with 1:29 remaining. On the ensuing drive, an interception by USF CB Jaeden Wagner would seal the game. UCF's timeouts led to a 27-yard USF FG to give the Bulls a 35-28 lead with 0:39 left in the game. "I jumped out my shoes running down the sideline." Coach Karter exclaims in result of the fumble return touchdown. "(Trevontae Miller) stole that ball like he was taking candy from a baby. I didn't think (Mike Rodorov) could run like that. That's gonna go down as one of the most clutch defensive plays in the history of college football, most certainly the program." PLAYERS OF THE GAME: USF - QB Trey Morgan (20 for 34, 202 YDS, 2TD) USF - DE Ryan Ewing (5 TKL, 3 TFL, 3 SKS) UCF - QB Larry Rodriguez (23 for 28, 353 YDS, 2 TD, 1 INT) UCF - LB Eric McDonald (7 TKL, 2 TFL) RECRUITING REPORT: Travis McKenzie ★★★★ (#41 WR, #230 Nat) SPARQ 76.00 6'0", 192 lbs - Greenacres City, FL Wayne Jennings ★★★★ (#31 HB, #239 Nat) SPARQ 78.00 6'1", 209 lbs - Boynton Beach, FL Antwan Barry ★★★ (#16 FS, #529 Nat) SPARQ 67.00 6'1", 192 lbs - Franklin, IN Kenneth Lewis ★★★ (#45 DE, #566 Nat) SPARQ 63.00 6'4", 255 lbs - Jacksonville, FL USF LAND COVETED RECRUITS FOLLOWING MIRACLE ON I-4 Big recruitment news came in for Coach Karter and his USF Bulls following their miraculous win over rival UCF. 4-star prospects Travis McKenzie (#41 WR, #230 Nat) and Wayne Jennings (#31 HB, #239 Nat) made their commitments to USF official. He is the #4 OT in the nation and his commitment broken the hearts of USF recruiters dearly, as he visited their campus weeks ago and they were reportedly "all in". #42 Reggie Chavez trots off Raymond James field for the final time of his career DEFENSE CARRIES BULLS OFFENSIVE SLACK | DEFENSE RAGES IN COMEBACK, 3 PICK SIXES | UTSA CRUMBLES IN FINAL LAP | USF WINS FIRST CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP | USF 39, UTSA 34 Tampa, FL - Things were looking pretty bleak for the Bulls at one point. USF was down 21-3 following a Road Runner interception that came off a dropped pass by USF TE Aubrey Lazard. When nothing seemed like it was going right, Jacoby Dennis broke off a 33 yard run that sparked some life into the offense. USF QB Trey Marshall dropped a dime to WR Caleb Goddard which set them up at the 4-yard line. FB Pat Stanton punched it in for their first TD of the game. Their second TD of the game would come on the very next series when UTSA QB Xavier McNeal throws a pick six to SS Arik Trout who returned it for a 25 yard TD, and in an improbable turn of events, the Bulls head into half time down 21-17. UTSA HB Darius Cooper was the Roadrunners workhorse on offense, he punched in his 3rd TD of the game in the 3rd quarter to give UTSA a 28-17 lead. In the 4th quarter USF HB Jacoby Dennis scored from the 3 yard line, and following a successful 2-pt conversion the Bulls were down 28-25. It felt like Deja Vu from week 13. USF got their first lead of the game when LB Jason Torres took an interception off an errant screen pass from QB Xavier McNeal and returned it for a 60 yard TD with 3:50 left in the game. This marked the Bulls 20th turnover this year, a testament to Defensive Coordinator Doug Durando's aggressive scheme. Freshman USF CB Jonathan Bess sealed the game when he intercepted UTSA QB Xavier McNeal and returned it for a TD with 1:01 left in the game. The turnover marked UTSA QB McNeal's 3rd of the game, and 3rd interception returned for a touchdown. "You gotta get after the QB." says USF DC Ron Durando. "You put him on his ***, and the turnovers will come. Turnovers win and lose ball games." UTSA didn't go down without a fight, and managed to find the end zone again with 14 seconds left in the game. USF defense could take solace in stopping the 2-pt conversion and an onside kick later, the game was over. USF wins their first ever American Athletic Conference Championship. For some USF seniors like HB Reggie Chavez and HB Jacoby Dennis, it's a dream come true after finishing 2-10 last season. PLAYERS OF THE GAME: USF - HB Jacoby Dennis (10 CAR, 67 YDS, TD) USF - CB Jonathan Bess (6 TKL, 1 INT, TD) UTSA - HB Darius Cooper (18 CAR, 81 YDS, 3 TD) UTSA - LB Kirk Inman (8 TKL, 2 TFL, INT) SEC ALABAMA 42, GEORGIA 28 WAC HAWAII 33, NEW MEXICO 28 PAC OREGON 31, ARIZONA 28 ACC CLEMSON 34, NORTH CAROLINA 31 BIG TEN WISCONSIN 26, OHIO STATE 24 B12 TEXAS TECH 35, CINCINATTI 28 MAC BUFFALO 35, CENTRAL MICHIGAN 21 AMERICAN USF 39, UTSA 34
...and the 2028 Heisman Trophy winner is... QB #6 Richard Jansen (277 for 280, 4134 yds, 54 TD, 4 INT) 6'2", 200 lbs - Richmond, CA Clemson QB Richard Jansen led the Tigers to a 12-1 season. The Clemson Tigers currently sit at #5 after winning the ACC championship. Their success is largely in part to the man they have under center. The Richmond native put up one of the most statistically impressive seasons of any QB in collegiate history during his senior campaign. On top of his 4134 passing yards and 54 passing touchdowns, he added another 489 rushing yards and 5 TD on the ground.
_________________________________________________ BOWL SEASON:
USF STUNS CLEMSON IN FINAL SECONDS | BULLS DEFENSE CLAMP DOWN ON HEISMAN WINNER, SMITE QB RICHARD JANSEN | ESPN INSTANT CLASSIC | USF 31, CLEM 27 Miami, FL - Down in south Florida for the Orange Bowl, the powerhouse #5 Clemson Tigers met the #14 USF Bulls. In the first two quarters it became clear very quickly that Clemson HB Deandre Walker was probably the best player on the field, especially after he broke out a 72 yard touchdown with no time left on the clock to send the Tigers into half time with a 21-10 lead. His 3rd of the half. The Bulls defense came out juiced up in the second half and started stopping the run enough to force the Tigers pass happy offense to get antsy. The Bulls did a great job keeping Heisman winning QB Richard Jansen from getting a rhythm, keeping the ball out of the hands of his primary target. Where was Clemson WR Reshawn Willis? USF CB Alonzo Sears shadowed him and locked down the best WR in the country for the majority of the game. The senior CB held Clemson's All-American award winning WR Reshawn Willis was held to only 3 catches for 35 yards. His lowest season total by a large margin. The second half performance by the Bulls defense, holding the Tigers to only 2 field goals, allowed the Bulls to sneak back into the game. USF QB Trey Morgan (15 for 22, 210 YDS, 3 TD) was careful with the ball all the game, and quick to release it before the surging Clemson pass rush could get to him. In the 4th quarter the Bulls finally took advantage of the over-aggressive Clemson pass rush when USF QB Trey Morgan dropped back and dumped the ball off on a screen pass to HB Reggie Chavez, who took the pass for a 35 yard touchdown to tie the game at 24-24. The next possession Clemson would kick a long FG to take a 27-24 lead with 3:23 left in the game. After the two teams exchanged punts, the Bulls would get the ball back with less than 2 minutes remaining. USF QB Trey Morgan drove the Bulls down to the 11 yard line, and the Bulls called their final timeout with 10 seconds left in the game. There was time for 1 more shot to the end zone before settling for a Field Goal, or they could play it safe and kick the FG now and go for OT. Coach Karter and Roger Daytona got aggressive. They were playing to win. QB Trey Morgan lined up in shotgun, the ball was snapped, and he threw a laser to WR BJ Woodrow who came down with the TD reception. After the XP the Bulls had a 31-27 lead. The final play game was a futile Richard Jansen hail mary attempt that was picked off by USF freshman FS Mike Reed. The Bulls did it, they defeated the juggernaut in an instant ESPN classic. "What a (expletive) game." Coach Karter blurts out, exasperated following the post-game celebration. "We played a great team, nobody gave us a chance in hell, and we (expletive) did it." The Sooners were once 1-6 after a disastrous start to the season. AGGIES BEAT TARHEELS | CHIK-FIL-A CHAMPS | TAMU 24, UNC 21 Texas A&M (9-4) kicked a game winning 21 yard FG with 6 seconds left to secure the win against the North Carolina Tarheels (9-5). 2028 POSTSEASON: Overview, Stats, Graduation Class
2028 POST-SEASON OVERVIEW
REGGIE CHAVEZ NAMED TEAM MVP COACH KARTER CHANGES CULTURE IN LOCKER ROOM USF culture changed this year, after going 2-10 last season and watching their coach get axed, Coach Karter came in with his coordinators and turned it around. COACH CHRIS KARTER AND DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR RON DURANDO HOT COMMODITY For programs looking to turn it around, and fast, Coach Karter has jumped to the top of their boards. Keep a look out for the LSU coaching vacancy this off-season. Ron Durando is another name that's creeping up on University's list, and he's expected to field numerous interviews for head coaching positions.
#57 LB Darnell Jackson exits the tunnel in Miami, FL at the Orange Bowl
bold = denotes starter USF LOSING 12 STARTERS | REBUILD INCOMING? | ALONZO SEARS AN NFL LOCK, PROJECTED FIRST ROUND | CHAVEZ STILL NFL HOPEFUL AFTER BIG SEASON FOR BULLS The South Florida Bulls are losing 12 starters to this year's graduating class. The class is headed by NFL prospect CB Alonzo Sears who is projected to be a 1st-2nd Round Draft pick. Alonzo Sears is 1 of 3 members of the starting secondary the Bulls will need to replace. FS Trevontae Miller and SS Arik Trout join him and were USF's leading tacklers on the season. Three other starters from the defense join the DB's. DT David Jackson II, Team Captain and ROLB Darnell Jackson, and ILB Mike Rodorov who went viral for the miracle on I-4. They're losing 6 starters from the offense as well. They're losing 3 starting offensive lineman and their entire backfield with HB Reggie Chavez, HB Jacoby Dennis, and FB Pat Stanton graduating. HB Reggie Chavez has been chasing his NFL dreams all season long, and it remains to be seen if his 1542 rushing yards, and 13 rushing TD were enough to secure a combine invite. Perhaps the most promising factor for the entire receiving cast is returning. One must wonder if they will put the ball in the hands of their soon-to-be-sophomore QB Trey Morgan more, or will he be running for his life too much to make the same throws he made last season? USF HEAD COACH KARTER HOT COMMODITY | PRESTIGIOUS PROGRAMS INTERVIEWING USF COACH | FAVORITE TO LAND LSU TIGERS COACHING GIG USF Head Coach Chris Karter impressed the entire country when he took a 2-10 USF program with a three-star Freshman QB and turned in a 13-1 season, taking out #18 Miami early in the year, winning their first ever American Athletic Conference Championship, and winning the Orange Bowl by upsetting #5 Clemson and their star-studded #1 offense that was led by Heisman winning QB Richard Jansen. WILL COACH KARTER REMAIN AT USF? WILL HE BE TEMPTED BY PROGRAM PRESTIGE AND NATIONAL TITLE ASPIRATIONS? WILL HE GO CHASE THE BAG $$$? Last edited by War Daddy Rambo; 10-19-2022 at 09:43 PM. |
