No more Candace, Brent Barry, Webber announcers?

Full disclosure: I’m finally starting to play full games of 2K23 after tons of time building custom all time rosters. So perhaps I just haven’t played enough to get an idea of how the announcers fare compared to 2K22.

Does it seem like we have less announcers now? I know we got Fratello to do the classic eras, but in terms modern era and overall games, is it me or are there less announcers in general?

I sure hope they got rid of Webber lol he’s awful as a broadcaster

Barry is still there, he's on my game right now with Brian Anderson and Grant Hill. Not sure about Candace and idk what happened to Webber but he's gone from TNT and 2K completely, he's not even on any rosters in the game

Good to know Barry is still in. Hopefully we still got Candace. I guess the new guy (forgot his name) is the Webber replacement.

Funnily enough for all it’s faults, 2K21 had the best announcer roster imo, mainly due to Shaq. I don’t know why they only had him for one year.

Being from Detroit and knowing Chris. 2k probably wanted to go another direction with announcers. Like I said knowing Chris. He probably said well take me out the game completely lol

That’s sucks tho if he not on 2k. I liked his commentary

Hope they got rid of Steve Smith, he was really annoying.

On another note, I wish they keep all the guest host like KG, Shaq, even Kobe, but they seem to get rid of them each year, probably because of contracts. But having all the ones over the years randomly show up during and throughout your franchise during announcing would have been cool.

I liked Webb’s commentary too. His whole vibe is calming and chill lol. Didn’t mind it during games.

The only person they need to get rid of from the commentary team is Steve Smith. You can LITERALLY tell that he’s reading his lines off of a piece of paper.
