NHL 22 - Franchise Gems/Players who play above potential

I know i am extremely late to the party with the release of NHL 23 imminent but i am fairly new to hockey overall.

I am starting a franchise mode with the Ducks and plan on rebuilding largely through the draft. But i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for user friendly players or cheap players who play above their overall? I have tried to research into it but wasn't able to find a lot of suggestions other than players rated 88/89 which is the opposite of what i am trying to do.

I don't have specific names but just look for players with high speed/accel ratings and high wrist shot power and you can dominate with them.

If doing a lot of simulating the 3 most important ratings are

Offensive awareness
Defensive awareness
Poise

That’s how you “moneyball” in this series. Look for guys who are high in those areas yet cheap due to low ratings in other areas.

I think you might be on to something that explains why sometimes people will show teams stacked with talented young guys with skills but might lack awareness and poise.

Gives you a reason to keep the old guys around.
