G League players in 83-84 roster

Working on an 83-84 roster and wondered if anyone knows if G Leaguers end up on NBA rosters or as free agents? Playing through the 83-84 season I keep seeing mid 70’s players with sleeves, tats, etc.

I haven’t tried it out yet but I would hope - since the G League was not created until a few years ago - that it would not come into effect until the modern era.

I may be wrong but it seems like the modern looking guys are coming from the draft. The best class I can find on Xbox has about 17 real players.
If anyone has a definitive answer feel free to let us know

Generally, no one signed them but if you do, they ruin the sim.

It’s seems the biggest issue with maintaining realism as the Bird-Magic era progresses is with draft classes. Rosters are a fairly quick and easy fix. Draft classes are woefully depleted. The best ones I can find don’t have enough players for the first round and very little goes into editing the generics. That said I’m working on draft classes with 50 real players and edits after that to make sure generics look like they would’ve been on the court in the 80’s. I’m using player DNA from the 83 draft for real players and eliminating generics higher than top 50.
