2k23 On ball defense

What is the proper way to play on ball defense, I played a gut who was really good on the sticks any tips & tricks would be helpful.

Keep your fingers OFF the L2 & R2 triggers
Follow your player with the left stick, tap turbo just to catch up in case they're getting too far ahead, tap L2 to trap them, NEVER hold them
Right stick is your friend, hold it opposite direction from the player you're defending to have your hands up. Flick it up to contest if they're shooting

Just remember your player is slowed down when you hold those triggers down
