What difficulty setting and do you tweak sliders?

I’m wondering what difficulty level everyone else is using. I don’t get an opportunity to play the game a lot and it’s the first basketball game I’ve had many years. Needless to say I’m not that great at it. So I think I’ve been flipping back-and-forth between semi pro and pro… What’s everyone else using? And do you tweak the sliders after picking your difficulty level?

I just stick to Superstar. I believe the game balance is tailored around it.

Superstar is where I’m at right now too. I started on Pro and won by 40, moved up to All Star and won by 40, moved up to Superstar and won by 2.

Re: What difficulty setting and do you tweak sliders?

I start on hof and tweak my sliders to look closer to all star or superstar for now (keeping hof foul sliders), till I get the hang of the game more.

Currently I lowered jumpshot defensive strength sliders significantly for both sides, and also shot timing significantly for both sides (to make shooting easier and to try and mitigate the annoying issue where every made shot is a swish).

Generally play second hardest with heavily modified sliders. I use RP% for shooting with tweaks here and there.

Started with superstar default, now using eccentric's sliders.

I don't know what impact if any the difficulty you start from plays.

I play hall of fame and avoid doing cheesy stuff that I know would work on the CPU.

I adjust sliders to help CPU awareness and mental things to take that edge away from myself.

I always lower acceleration and create a wider gap between the high and low acceleration and speed sliders, so slow guys never catch fast guys on fast breaks (and so that Brook Lopez will always be food if they switch him on Kyrie).

All-Star or Superstar
(with tweaks to shooting, tendencies & game speed.)

I recall it’s been quoted before that HOF is not exactly tuned for the most “realistic” experience, but the ULTIMATE challenge.

All-Star/Superstar are the best base(s) for realism.
