The Russell Westbrook disrespect has to stop

I know Russ had a bad season by his standards, but 2k ratings making him out like the worst player in the NBA.

Shot IQ = 25 ?!? Stop it.
Passing ratings averaging at about a 75?

Russ had a bad season by HIS standards and severely underperforms his contract but he is still better than the majority of role players in the NBA. Dude was putting up 18, 7, 7 with a 44.4% FG% which is actually better than his average percentage over his career. Y'all acting like he's Dennis Schroeder.

A below average 3 point shooter that shoots pull up threes or jumps before he has his mind made up on what he’s doing?

25 sounds right for sure.

He’s been doing stuff like last year for years. He just didn’t have triple doubles to overshadow it.

His IQ is definitely not a 25. That’s disrespectful. There should be a current mental slider that affects consistency. I actually think his consistency is what should be super low now. Maybe 45. And IQ should still be about 70 or 75. He’s just in a rough patch. Overall should be about a 77 imo

I agree. It should be 35 max.

Re: The Russell Westbrook disrespect has to stop

He didn’t have a bad season by just “his” standards: he had a bad season by his standards, his coaches’ standards, the media’s standards, and apparently 2K raters’ standards.

2K isn’t acting like he’s the worst player in the NBA or else he’d have the worst rating in the NBA video game.

Just like he sat the bench in crunch time of 4th quarters and played his way back, I think he can play his way back to a better rating. Here’s to him doing that, because he’s one player that never takes a game off and doesn’t know how to give anything less than 100%. I respect the heck out of the guy.

I don’t think his IQ has much to do with his struggles. I think it’s mental and his confidence is gone. Again. Just my opinion. I still say consistency should be his lowest attribute. Offensive awareness obviously took a big hit last couple years too. Although I see where these arguments come from though. His shot selection certainly is quite questionable lately.

If the lakers trade him, his next stop will be China. 78 is actually way too high.

Nobody on his team, coaching staff, or in the media said that Russell Westbrook has the all time worst offensive IQ. The issue is his production as it relates to his contract and role on the team.

If Russ was getting 5-10 mil per year no one would be talking about how terrible he is.

People are just confusing "bad contract" with "bad player."
