Custom Playbooks / CPU play calling

I like to create my own playbooks and set the star rating for each play on evert scenario. I play CPU vs CPU and assign my playbook to the team in the pre game settings. But for some reason the calls are not lining up. For example.:

In my Seahawks playbook I have 30 plays for first down. 15 run and 15 pass. All the run plays are 5 stars and the pass plays are all 2 stars. But for some reason still 65-70% of the time the CPU will call a pass play. I don’t understand what’s going on.

Anybody have and insights into how to make this work better?

I believe, but am not 100%, that the AI will not actually use custom playbooks (even if it appears to have been selected) I'm afraid. The AI will recognise the 32 team playbooks. In Madden 22 I tried, like you I think, to customise playbooks so the AI ran more. In the end I gave up and just gave them all the Titans playbook and that did the job....

This year the Colts and Jets playbooks seem to get good rushing attempts out of the CPU, at least in simmed games. Also if the team has an elite rushing QB then give them the Ravens playbook (for obvious reasons!)

Really, they won’t use the playbook that is assigned to them in the games set up screen. I swear I have seen some of my added plays called. Some of the ones that are more obvious to pick out. I’ll keep an eye open and do some extreme testing to have a look at this.

Yeah I wish I knew how to get the cpu teams to use custom playbooks or use the edited ones, because I’m tired of them calling curl routes or slants all the time.

Re: Custom Playbooks / CPU play calling

Question to anybody that would know...if you do a 32 team franchise, have two controllers at the start of the game, then once you go in game, switch it over to Super Sim/Slow/Jump To The End Of The Game to spectate, will they use custom playbooks??

It blows my mind that EA hasn't set up the playbooks for the CPU teams to utilize the whole playbook.

This doesn’t work I’ve tried it. You can’t super sim after you have selected both teams that option is not there when the game starts. I’ve also tried it in the selection screen before the game. Where you select both team set playbooks as custom ten move the controller back to center before the starting the game. And it goes completely wonky, i fact I think only one team take the field…🤦🏻*♂️
