Local co op?

Can someone please confirm if this franchise mode can be played local co op- as in I can control pitcher and my local friend can control infield/outfield with a second controller. All my web searches only provide info on online co op modes. A big thanks to anyone who can provide an answer. Playing on ps5 if that is relevant.

Yes you can. It gives you the option after selecting play game for both controllers to be on the same team. It will let you select what roles team captain/co op user has.
