PS5 The Show 22 Save Files

Hi. On the PS5, are you able to back up franchise save files to a USB drive as you could on the PS3 and PS4? I read that it is not possible in general for PS5 titles, but is possible for PS4 games played on the PS5. Since The Show 22 is cross-platform, I am wondering what is the capability here?

Thanks.

You have the ability to upload your franchise to the cloud and then download it from a different console. I do this with my PS5 and Series X all the time. As far as using a USB drive, I don't believe you can. If you go into the settings in your franchise menu, you'll see the option to upload to the cloud. Then, in a different console, in the main menu, scroll over to Franchise and either press square or X, depending on your console. You'll see a drop-down that says download from cloud

Thank you very much for the details! Do you think that same process that you use would work for moving a saved franchise back and forth from a PS5 to a PS4?

You don't have to do it that way.

In SETTINGS in the franchise hub, you can select UPLOAD TO CLOUD and whichever system you're on, ex PS5, will save the franchise file to the cloud and then when you fire up the PS4 you can select DOWNLOAD FROM CLOUD and you're franchise will be playable on the PS4.

I've done this numerous of times this year.

That's great, thank you. I tend to play The Show for a long time before upgrading to a new version. I'm still on MLB The Show 12! Looking to upgrade and wanted to see how the console swapping would work.
