2023 10th overall pick Dalibor Dvorsky makes his NHL debut tonight for the Blues.

Edit:Bland night on the score sheet for him, but he did make the third pass leading to a Blues PPG that actually ended up being the game winner in a 4-1 win over Nashville.

Is this the first time he's ever been fired during the season?

And the way the NHL works, he's for sure getting hired by some other team in the NHLs carousel of coaches.

Sure sounds like the skids are being greased for Tocchet to Flyers, Sullivan to Canucks (which almost certainly won't help either team, but whatever.)

Possible Torts landing spots, from least to most funny: Anaheim, Nashville, Chicago, Pittsburgh, Boston, Buffalo. (Vancouver would be the funniest - well, for neutrals, anyway - but is probably beyond the realm of possibility.)

Only question left is, can Crosby end his career with at least a point per game in every season? Only one player who's played 10+ seasons has accomplished that (Mike Bossy) and that was due to him retiring early due to injury.

Other attainable milestones (assuming Sid doesn't want to play past 2027):

1. Finishing in the top 5 scorers of all-time (currently 122 points behind Ron Francis with 1798)

2. Finishing as the highest scorer for a single team (currently 133 points behind Gordie Howe with 1809)

3. Finishing his career as one of only 5 players with 1000+ GP and 1.2+ PPG (currently in this club with Wayne Gretzky, Marcel Dionne, Phil Esposito, and Guy Lafleur; if Crosby played every game between now and the end of the 26/27 season - 172 games - he'd need to reach 1820 points to maintain a career 1.2 PPG)

Blues need to just sit on the puck with a lead with under 10 seconds to go - Anaheim had a buzzer beater to force OT a couple weeks ago and now the Preds put a would-be game-tying goal in a tenth of a second after time expires. Major bullet dodged, and this was by far the worst game they played since the 4 nations break.

Still 2 points. Still a winning streak. But MAN.

With the shine of McLellan wearing off, wouldn't shock me to see DeTorts next year
