Completed the New Threads Program last night. Super simple. Moments and added all those extra optional mission guys to my mini season lineup and was done in 5 or 6 games.

Snagged all 4 cards in Diamond Quest as well.

Bought Holmes in market for Mets Theme team and other relievers because of how meh bullpen arms are right now.

Not a fan of all those cards behind a paywall right now but does look like down the road we will have access to those packs in programs to help collect all 28.

Re: What Are You Working On? (MLB The Show 25 Edition)

I finished up the new threads program last night too - love the structure of the program and how there were so many options to finish it. I did a couple of runs through Diamond Quest and sold everything. I don't really have a plan for stubs, but seems like the play is just sell early and buy once prices settle.

Feels like this new model is good if you can avoid the FOMO. I don't remember getting any cards to even P3 last year, so I've been mostly playing with cards I like and having a lot of fun.

I also started ranked after the second drop of missions. A rough start as my first two games were freeze offs - so started off with an 0-2 record after throwing 2 pitches. But no problems the next four games and was happy to make it up to All-Star pretty quickly. I still don't know how much I'm going to try and do outside of the stat missions, but will see.

Yeah I'm fine with this new structure I think they'll settle into where most of the best cards will be behind a form of a paywall but if you just wait you'll probably get most of them through osmosis.

Too many people want stuff for free and no work.

Santander won't be that hard to get. I got sasaki today but could've gotten him earlier. He's still more than usable as a pitcher albeit wild.

Sure I would like to use Santander today but his gold is good and with the threads program we get some pretty decent cards to use along the way.

Milner was nasty last year for a weird look out of the pen. I've been liking gleyber, I have soler on the bench but haven't used much. Everyone will use Chapman... Holmes has a good pitch mix.

SP is pretty weak right now in general and that must be by design

I always felt like this typically was the case in the past. Special program series tended to wind up becoming pretty common as awards in conquest, vault packs last year, etc. There's a window of a few weeks or a month where you can only get them on the market, but you'd wind up getting them without even trying later. They'd no longer be among the best cards, but they'd be perfectly good for theme teams.

This pxp weekend is pretty cool. Assuming it's still going Monday morning which I think it will be

I'll have trout, Yordan, possibly jram and skenes to P5.

I plan on playing the event a good bit tmrw, may dive into ranked for 2 or 3 games. Up to 55k stubs and debating on saving for ketel.

I really think the live series will maintain value for a while. I'm always good with seager but don't know where to play him defensively plus Yordan at dh. Still playing lawlar at ss for the defense
