It has nothing to do with you being allowed to say what you want about the game. It's that you repeat the same things over and over. It's that you interrupt others talking about what they like about the game to repeat the same stuff. It's that no matter what anyone posts about the game, we can be sure you will get the last word in, to make sure everyone knows how much YOU don't like the game.

So much for continuing to not play and being happy with your choice. I mean, it's a game you can get for less than $10. It's a game that everyone is mostly aware of the history of. While it had lots of problems, which led to poor sales and EA bailing on it, there are still some aspects that some people enjoy. The price is so low, the need to warn people off of it is no longer really needed.

I still play it from time to time. It's a solid golf game, and probably plays better for me since I don't play golf games so much that I ruin them for myself. I struggle to beat par all the time, and not even on the hardest difficulties. And that included when I was playing it a ton.

Every edition of TW was this way for me. I just ignored the ridiculous scores I saw and enjoyed the game for me. I'm not surprised there are others that don't find the game as easy to master. In the CC I was in, I never saw ridiculous scores. Despite some guys regularly scoring -18's or better in the main leaderboards, I never came close.

I think if I had the same experience as you, I would never play the game. Of course, I would also post here as often as I do in other threads for games I don't play, which is never. So there is that.

Might want to go back and read the thread again......I gave my opinion when it was asked for, and asked for again, and again and so on until the point that the user in question did not believe my personal experience with the game and challenged me to prove my abilities.

I have also been pretty even handed in this thread UNTIL EA pulled the plug on the game. So if you are blaming me for being bitter, I AM. I am not attacking anyone, only the decisions that EA has made that left us without a PGA TOUR game to play that has any sort of future or is even up to date.

I tell it like I see it. If you don't like what I post, don't tell me that I don't have the right to post how I feel about the game. No one is telling you that you are wrong or challenging you to prove what you are saying about the game. I am glad people are getting enjoyment out of the game. However, when asked for opinions, I won't be shy about giving mine. Never have been, never will be. There are no bad guys here, so stop trying to make seem like I am one.

Oh, I thought you wanted the discussion to end? Apparently not...

Nice try once again Divot. The 'ridiculous challenge' began when you emphatically stated you could shoot -10 to -14 on average in the conditions described. I challenged you to demonstrate this in a private match, and you summarily declined on the basis of not having time for this silliness. Then later you came back and excused yourself from living up to your claim by saying you hadn't played it enough lately. What a crock! To shut me up AND collect $10 for doing it? No brainer! What the heck is holding you back?

Therein lies the true basis for your stilted opinion of an incredible game. You're sadly disappointed, and rightfully so since the game is spectacular for what it is. The litany of negative posts from folks like yourself starts creating an echo chamber in itself, this is 'the power of one' in the age of social media. Especially when spawned by local 'authorities', and you certainly present yourself as an authority of sorts, intentionally or otherwise.

With you, it is.

I stand by everything I stated.

Take Care.

Re: Rory McIlroy PGA TOUR Available Today - Post Your Impressions Here

With Tiger Woods golfing again, and golfing well, I wonder if EA tries to go back that route?

Rory was a decent game for what it was. It was terribly shallow, but the thought was that we'd get expansions and improvements to it over time. Either that or an every-other-year release model. As is customary business nowadays, however, gaming on the upper echelons has become much less about the experience and much more about dollar signs. As a publicly-traded business, I'm not blaming them, but it is simply unfortunate for us as consumers.

I'd really like to see The Masters, among others, back in virtual golf, though. If EA wants to drop the ball, maybe someone else comes along in the future to pick it up.

It was not an amicable split with Tiger is my understanding, so I highly doubt it.

Rory McIlroy PGA Tour is being removed from all digital storefronts for PS4 and Xbox One on May 22, which is also when it'll be taken out of the EA Access free game "Vault" on Xbox One.

If I had to guess, this signals the end of EA's stranglehold on the exclusive PGA TOUR license and could open the door for HB Studios to pick the license up and implement it into TGC 2019 since they are adding licensed courses and Under Armour content.
