I wonder if the reticle will be similar the one implemented in FIFA 17 for corners and long free kicks. The reticle in FIFA 17is kind of sensitive and twitchy, and springs back to a point of origin if you let off the LS. It's easier to maneuver with players who have higher long pass and fk skills.

I'm guessing LS will control QB movement, and the RS will control the reticle, with one of the triggers used to release (and pass power determined by pressure on the trigger). Would be cool if right handed QB's used the right trigger and the left for lefties.

As long as the reticle is still governed by ratings. If it automatically places the ball there regardless of QB this will be a disaster.

Please let this be true, I miss NFL Fever's Read N Lead passing and this sounds exactly like it. It wasn't perfect then, but you could see the potential. If Ea is thinking the same thing but more refined and more accurate to the quarterback (size of reticle and accuracy affected by the QB's stats) this might be great. I was already down for 18 since i skipper 17, but now I'm excited.

I also noticed in the same video there was mention of users in MUT Squads being able to chuck inside and outside on receivers; I hope I am correct in assuming that this will be available across all modes so we can now dictate whether we want all or some DB's to chuck and which direction..

I'd imagine it would be the opposite. The smaller the reticle, the more precise the placement as you know exactly where the balls going to go. However the bigger the reticle, you don't know where in that radius the ball will go, you just know it'll be somewhere in that vicinity. That's like real life, to an extent. Good QB's have good ball placement, whereas poor QB's can often get close to the mark, but consistently underthrow, overthrow, too far inside, too far outside, etc. They just don't have that precision placement, which a bigger reticle in game would convey.

My guess on the reticle -- it only shows up when you press the button for the corresponding receiver. And it defaults to a..er..default location. However you may adjust and fine tune the placement during your QBs throwing motion.

Count me as very surprised if it is something like a reticle that appears at the snap and the user must move it across the entire field when passing. That would however meet Rex's difficult to learn statement.
