I'm serious, if you guys have never checked out the DL in the real MLB, you'd be shocked at the amount of injured players at all times.

Oh...I know (real MLB DL).

I think you need to crank your injury slider to 10 for simmed games.....and I assure you that the DL will get filled up.

Played games.....I am not going to say it is great. With the injury slider on 8 I will get some injuries but not as many as we should....agree there. Although again I have had them this season as I pointed out.

But simulated games? Try cranking that slider to 10.....I am telling you it will get bad.

What is your injury slider set to?

Haven't touched injury sliders tbh. It was never enough to actually deter my enjoyment of the game, just something I observed. I'll try and crank it up to see if it helps! Thanks for the advice!

Right on man.

Played games - try it at 8

Simmed games...if you like a lot of injuries around the league including your own team if you sim a game for them as well try it out at 8 as well.

Warning. It can and will get ugly.

Injuries are fine my man. Everyone is going to have different results in the game. And that is what makes it so good to me. It is not scripted and automatic.

Wild results all over the spectrum for each player in franchise. The statistical randomness of baseball shines on this title, and injuries and errors are also dice rolled as well.

It is baseball bliss for this former Strato-matic fanatic!!!
He ain't lying, my injuries have been crippling and I just had 2 more last night when Iwakuma went down for 2-3 months and Motter for an additional 1-2 months. I've already lost Zunino for 1-2 months (just returned a few games ago), Danny Valencia for 1-2 months, Nelson Cruz 1-2 months and Robinson Cano 1-2 months. I've had 2 small injuries which were of the 1-6 day variety when I lost Jean Segura and Jarrod Dyson but both are back and playing. The injuries have just decimated my team, the offense I can make up for a little but the pitching was already a weak point and Iwakuma was 8-4 so losing him is going to really hurt.

Do I need to bump up solid hits or pwr at all post patch? I am not getting many hard line drives like I was before the patch. It was pretty realistic to me up until this patch.

I'm getting shelled lately. Before the game they say Russell Martins ability to call a good game is low or something like that. Has anyone else seen this?

Not at all man.

It is great. Not seeing anything on All-Star Directional hitting that would suggest otherwise.

Updated the TSN bug report on wild pitches/passed balls: http://theshownation.com/topics/1277...franchise-mode

Quote:
Updatd after v1.07 patch.

I don't know if any further tuning has been attempted in the most recent patch on how catchers handle wild pitches/passed balls, but the level of wild pitch frequency remains roughly a factor of 2 - 3 more than the MLB average. After the patch, I have gotten in about 70 CPU vs. CPU test games (140 games worth of per game per team stats), and I am still seeing WP/G of about 1.0 (compared to the MLB average of 0.37 in 2016). (The relevant slider setting is Pitcher Control 2 and Pitcher Consistency 5 for the test set... but all the other stats from test games are viewable in the spreadsheet at http://www.operationsports.com/forum...7-version.html).

From the stats, I cannot say the wild pitch issues have improved much since the game release. Again, at the moment, wild pitch is pretty much the only stats that are wildly off from the 2016 MLB averages. While I don't necessarily believe it is a game killer (as in HR frequency being off by a factor of 2 - 3 would certainly make people cry over how arcade-y the game has become), wild pitches in tight ball games often happen in very nuanced situations, it would be regrettable if they cannot be brought down to within a ballpark of realism.

The frequency of wild pitches has been pretty realistic in the past iteration of the game.

A good news is that TSN bug reports are now searchable, so people don't have to (though they will anyways) keep filing duplicate bug reports which tend to dilute their effectiveness for bug hunting...
