CFL does have slightly diffrent rules. Only 3 downs instead of 4, when you punt you have to give the returner 5 yards of space however he can't fair catch it. You can recover a puntt but you have to behind the punter when he kicks it. The field goal post are in front of the endzone and the endzone is 20 yards deep. If a field goal misses but goes through the endzone it's one point. So a lot of times you will see a returner on field goals to field the ball.

And only nine teams

They lost me at one and it only got worse from there
I suppose the modders on pc could handle the "No license" part but quick play only- what's the point. Wait another 6-12 months and release a finished game.

That's cute that they think this is worth $15.

The craziest part of this is the no CFL license. How hard can that be to get? Lol

At one time, Canuck Play was going to secure the CFL license but were severely outbidded by EA for it and they had to go another route. EA bought the license to be used in Ultimate Team so that's why they don't have the license. I read about this on Twitter and through a source that communicates directly with the devs.

I actually think no CFL license is the least crazy part of all this. It is such a subpar game in every other respect that even with the CFL license I don't think people would care. Only quick play? Heck, even sports games I download for free on my phone have a basic season mode.

David Winter's Maximum Football was the biggest disappointment of my gaming career. Canadian Football 2017 would have to get rave reviews to appear on my radar. This project sounds like a dumpster fire based on the full interview.

True on PC but no excuse to have editing on console...

With only quick match and nine teams I can't see many be excited by this at all.

I'm disappointed.

Fully licensed CFL game with season mode and I'd be all in!

I still play arena football on Xbox! I'm not fussy lol

Cracking game in season mode.
