Are you talking about in Career mode? If so, first, change the difficulty level maybe? Secondly, be prepared to get beat on a regular basis in career mode until you improve your team.

Re: NASCAR Heat Evolution Available, Post Your Impressions Here

Just got this game last week for Xbox One when it was on sale to celebrate the start of the NASCAR season. The game is flawed but fun.

I'm using Simulation car handling. What steering sensitivity level are you cats using for an Xbox One controller with Sim handling? I've tried a variety of settings and can't get a good feel for the car, and I'm an experienced sim racer.

Thanks!

I, too, would like to find out what adjustments are being made to the settings or car setup to help this. As I plan on picking this game up soon and will be running simulation handling with XB1 controller.

I've been all over the scale with steering sensitivity on Simulation mode and I just don't think there is a happy medium anywhere if you're using a controller. A lot of that is the fact you've got a 3400 pound stock car with 800+ horse power underneath you. There's a lot of weight to it, and the way the cars are setup generally always create a pull on the straightaways and make the steering very sensitive to begin with.

I get what they were trying to accomplish, but all in all, it just feels too clunky, and sticky with the steering using a controller. I really didn't notice much difference moving the slider around when I first got the game. Maybe now that I've run over 200 races I should try again to play with it to see if it has an effect. the problem is, I don't have the patience to do that. You can only change the setting from the front end. So you have to adjust it, load a track, try it, then quit from the session back to the front end to change it again and then start the process over. It's quiet cumbersome. They give you a little animation thing to show your steering input and how it changes as you adjust the sensitivity, but that really doesn't help much on track.

I'd be curious to hear the opinions of others on this too. I think I have mine set 1 or 2 notches from being all the way to the left, and it's just been that way all the time since I found out how difficult it was to adjust.

I don't mess with steering sliders, but I do use Knee Pit Gaming's setups for nearly every track. Check out his YouTube channel, he goes into depth on each track and I've found it to be extremely useful for learning about setups.

Thanks for this! How have these setups been for you?

Much better than the default setting, I can tell you that much. You can definitely feel the handling improvements with these setups, my problem is I'm just not very good at racing Sim in this game. I constantly get spun out by my opponents or spin out by myself exiting turns, even when I'm being super-cautious. But it's either that or race bumper cars in Normal mode.
