Yea I just don't know how one can say the difference isn't substantial to say the least.

I can see the eyes are different (like with the scanned players), it just seems to me like the facial possibilities spring from the same general groundwork as before. I dunno, maybe they'll look different when the skin tones are fully installed, as you said they weren't yet in the video.

Pardon my nitpicking, it's just that CAPs have been my favorite aspect of video games for as long as I can remember, so I tend to be very critical in that area. Everyone has their little "thing"; you won't hear me critiquing minor uniform or stadium things

Looks amazing! Also the new "cap style" option relates to how big the hat/crown is essentially.

The actual players look a lot better, but the CAP faces do not seem as improved. While Ramone was randomizing they all seem a little mutant-like, weird bulging eyes and unrealistic looking features. Though I have seen the same sorta thing in other games with similar character creation and through manually tweaking sliders are able to make something adeuqate.

I am guessing that will be the case for MLB 17, though I do think their will still be a noticeable difference between the quality of CAP's and actual face scanned player models.

I'm sure glad that I don't care about creating players. I always like to play as real players, not fictional. Hence why i never play Road to the Show or career mode for any sports game.

I actually use CAP system for historic rosters. Some guys make some amazing caps. They're gonna look even better this year.

This

Ramone and crew should feel proud of what they've accomplished. The truth of the matter is the CAP are not a #1 priority. They just aren't. Making Paul Goldschmidt look like Paul f'ing Goldschmidt IS THE PRIORITY.

This game doesn't sell because of CAP. It sells because of the license of the teams & players union.

By the time people's Franchise get to 2022... it'll be time for The Show 18.

Baby steps. I'm sure in the coming years more and more changes will be made to CAP.
