Franchise/Season is what cinches my purchase every year. All the rest is just gravy, even RTTS.
Yeah I kind of get bored with RTTS type modes quickly. I like to build a team more than actually playing the game.

At the end of the season, whichever division you end up in dictates which reward you get. Theoretically EVERYONE gets a reward, but the higher you finish in the season the better your reward is.

Thank you for that explanation. That eases my mind haha I was worried it would be a "if you come in first place you get this reward" but that is rather intriguing. I was opposed to online play, but this could be a fun way to play each week.

Well, I am not ready to get out the pitchforks quite yet. Until last year, with the addition of Conquest there was no reason at all to bother with Diamond Dynasty if you wanted to play offline.

We should get more info tomorrow so I am willing to hold back judgment until after then.

My main issue with DD are micro transactions. Hard for me to grind and invest time in a mode where people will just use real money to buy packs and get better cards. The whole card collecting idea is wonderful, but sports games today just use this mode to make more profits!

Well, it is obvious that Diamond Dynasty is there to keep the money rolling in.

But, you could give me a team with nothing but 99 rated cards and I could get stomped by a better player with a full team of 75 rated cards, so just buying your team is not the road to winning or even doing well.

Of course not, but collecting is not just about winning/losing, but also about collecting higher rated cards just for novelty purposes. When you see people with stacked cards, you just wonder if they just lucked out by spending money to earn them.

No point worrying about what other people have. There will always be people who have spent far more time on the game than you as well as people who've spent real money, it's not important.

The Show is actually the fairest of all these games with micro transactions imo, as you really don't need to spend any money at all to have a great team. The easily attained rewards give you excellent players, along with free players every game and the daily attribute changes are so large that even silver players have higher stats than expensive flahsbacks on days when they are in form. Anyone can build a very competitive team without any difficulty or real time required.

Some people don't have the time to grind for all the conquest or mission rewards. I have like 10 hours a week to play the game between work, school, wife and kids. I dropped roughly $200 on stubs for this year, which is nothing compared to a lot of people. But without doing that I wouldn't have really been able to put a competitive team together for DD.
