Nothing. He's just assuming it. We don't know whether the slow-mo can be turned off from this stream. Personally I think it might be a presentation option that we'll find out more about when they do the presentation stream in early March.

The only thing they said regarding the meter is that it's tied to the "Button Accuracy" throwing interface that already exists.

All in all, a good stream. Not the best ever, but solid.

I feel the VLOG was a bit more informative, but seeing Kipnis knock curving line drives all over the field got me very excited about the new ball physics. If we saw that many hits in a 10 minute section, imagine what you'd see with different hitters, pitchers, pitches, stadiums and environment (altitude and temperature).

The Human IK is tough to do on the fly. Having to program balls off the wall, cat-and-mouse is an all game battle and whatever else is included in this.

Graphics looked a little off but this is not the final build and it's being streamed off a computer. Have to hold back judgement until you see final builds.

The Catcher's throw meter is alright, don't love it or hate it, but I do not like the slow-motion effect at all. It takes a lot away from the bang-bang nature of stolen bases.

Hope Ramone is there next week, and every week from now on. Bit of a mess today.

Best fielding cam this game has ever had is in Retro Mode, especially since it's for both offense and defense. Not quite a broadcast camera, but in my opinion it's significantly more representative of one than the one they currently have. I wonder if it's usable outside of that mode.

EDIT: Aaaand Russell comes through!!!

That would be sweet.

Different year same OS :-) lol
  • Retro mode camera is available in the regular game
  • Catcher throw meter is still being tuned not finished by any means. Streaming a game that's not done knock knock.
  • We are in crunch, it's not easy to pull people away from their day-to-day to do these streams
  • Bunting, we didn't realize until after the stream, but we had fastballs down the middle on. So yeah bunting is way easier with every fastball down the middle. Anyway it's been worked on a lot you'll see more Wednesday. And that's the beauty of streaming an unfinished game, we worked on it a lot then streamed and found something else to tune which you'll see on Wednesday.
  • Graphics, WIP same as every year look at the first stream or vlog from any year then reference it with the last one.
  • Graphics............13th.............:-)

Looking forward to the runback (although I won't be able to catch that one live).

Yeah the slight tail on those Kipnis line drives were one of my favorite things to see in the stream. Definitely should bring a lot of variety of hits for sure.

And not sure if anybody caught it (tnixen ), but looks like they took the "Show 17" logo off the scorebug after the suggestion was brought up in the forums after the vlog. Definitely like it without the logo. Thanks for passing on the suggestion, AdamSDS!

Lower Fielder Run Speed. I've been utilizing this in my sliders the past couple of years and it'll help a lot.
