Didn't Madden do that? Mix up the commentators so it is a bit different game to game with various combos? That's what I was thinking might happen here if it isn't my pre/post/launchpad theory.

The only way to keep the commentary semi-fresh is to do what Madden does. Have the guys come in periodically throughout the year and record new lines. May not be logistically doable based on the travel schedules for these guys who are working all summer, but that's the only way to keep new lines coming into the game.

Personally, I wish they would just have a PBP announcer and really tighten up that presentation. I shut off the color guys anyway.

I should know the answer to this but I don't. The gameplay deep dive is Feb 9th. Does that mean the final build of the game will be by the time of the live stream on Feb 9th and the only thing left to do is mass produce and ship it?

Obviously after the "final build" they continue to work on the game which is why there are updates.
