We don't differ by that much.

I say they lean toward MUT because there have been two MUT tournaments in the last two months and that is what the last two title updates have focused on. 100% agree there. Those are the title updates that are fresh in our minds.

Going over prior title updates, they do include game play and CFM updates as well. My point is that they haven't neglected CFM or game play with the past title updates.

And before anyone states a comeback for the above, I realize there are game play issues that have remain neglected.

That people don't make real life money off of MUT? I'm not that naive......I know gambling when I see it. It's a shame what Madden has become.
But you just joined not too long ago...

So what? I'm telling you they clearly do not know what they are talking about, coming from someone who is aware of the laws around the matter and has studied the nuts-and-bolts game design of the mode and similar modes.

The popular opinion you speak of quite clearly does not align with the written law, and the burden of proof lies with the accuser. Prove MUT is gambling, else it's not.

No one makes money off MUT using exclusively the Madden NFL software itself. There is no in-game mechanism to redeem cards, sets, MUT coins (the grind currency) or MUT points (the hard currency available for purchase) for real-life money. That is the extent of EA's liability. Further, all sales of MUT points are final and unrefundable, and MUT points are not eligible for trade. If I recall correctly, MUT coins cannot be traded either, they can only be spent in the Auction House or on MUT card packs.

I'm not so naive to ignore that there may exist a third-party out-of-game market for MUT cards, similar to the third-party markets around Steam trading cards or Counter-Strike: Global Offensive skins. That stated, if people are selling Microsoft XBOX Live or Sony PSN Plus accounts associated with certain MUT teams, and/or if they are selling MUT cards via offering farcical trades in exchange for real-life money handed over outside of the game, those are clear-as-day violations of the Microsoft / Sony / EA Sports respective terms of service, and the companies again are not legally liable in this case.

It's also not gambling, as gambling implies risk. What I described above is rather a simple commercial transaction; person A spends money to buy person B's XBL account.

They have fixed some things. I remember on drop the big runs were crazy. I also remember drafting 300+ pound defensive ends with 4.5 speeds doing 36 reps in the fourth round. We tend to forget the things that get fixed and dwell on those that don't so I will give them some credit. However, it's kind of like dusting the coffee table when there is 4 days of dishes in the kitchen. There are just glaring problems that can not be overlooked to make this a successful year of madden

Agree 100%, absolutely.

I didn't even know there is an offsides glitch and that will be fixed in the updated title release.

Also, the QB ACC slider they were working on improving the effectiveness on the slider, hopefully.

Hopefully, these fixes, whatever they are, don't fall under the, they are fixed, but fell off the ladder because of priorities.

Nice to see them still developing the game, wlll echo calls that some love to CFM wouldn't go amiss this deep into the season, especially when I speak from personal experience, I'm more likely to play Madden in the next two weeks than at any other period than around release.

On the 'gambling' subplot that ran through this thread. I don't think it's gambling in the traditional sense, but modes like MUT/FUT/HUT/Diamond Dynasty/whatever the NBA2K equivalent is, do have an element of the same addictive tendencies that you see with slot machines (here in the UK we have had stories about Fixed-Odd Betting Terminals), where a lot of small transactions can add up to a large amount if you're not careful.
