After a full blown, deep and involved Owner/team president mode, the next thing down on my list would be a good stadium creator. As was mentioned though, my guess would be that MLB is preventing it, do to a misplaced belief that it would take something away from the real stadiums. It would be so awesome though. I would spend untold hours building something from the ground up, if given the chance.

100% agree with you. One other problem might be the "simplicity" of it. SCEA usually give us features that are 100% ready to go, instead of building off it every year. With that being said, I wonder how in-depth they can make it for an average joe that isn't used to 3d building software. Not saying the creator would ever be that technical, but I feel like stadiums might be too generic if we're just using presets.

"IF" custom stadiums were an option, I'd be satisfied with what they did for Madden. Basicly 4 or 5 predone generic stadiums. You could have city backdrops to use in the distance behind the stadium. So, if you built a new stadium for the Oakland A's, no matter what stadium you use, an "Oakland skyline" would be put in the back of the stadium.

I like that idea. Ideally, would be nice if they built the skyline instead of just a picture. Maybe you could pick the position of your stadium relative to the stadium, who knows?

Re: More MLB The Show 17 Details Revealed

In regards to create-a-stadium, I think having a few pre-created options would be the only way to go, like how Madden does it now. Primarily because you have to wonder how feasible an actual custom stadium would be with the textures, lighting, geometry, etc being so, so far advanced since back in the MVP Baseball days. Remember Wrigley Field in MLB 15? One tiny little geometry calculation bug and we had all of those warping foul balls and stuff. Imagine how insane it would be to try to make all of that work on a custom created stadium???
