Has Customization Revitalized NHL's EASHL?

I've always enjoyed the thrills of NHL's EA Sports Hockey League, but this year's iteration of the ultra-popular mode is my favorite yet. It builds on last year to deliver not only a balanced gameplay experience, but a tailored level of customization unlike anything we've seen before.

The change last year killed any interest from me. While I understand the change, it left me with no attachment to my player at all and just made the experience dull and boring.

It's helped but what would really help would be small stuff like the PA announcer saying your name when you score, him just saying your number really sorta disconnects you. Plus I would love to see gamerface implemented. NBA live 15 might have not been great but it implemented gamerface amazingly. That plus having captains logos and such would be nice as well being able to name your stadium. Small stuff but overall this year was a nice addition and made you feel more gen just a player with a logo, you actually had a team. (Side note we need group celebrations. It's starting to get a lot more noticeable now that it's still not in the game. Hopefully next year.)

Meh, I play it a lot just because of my buds. Just issues with players feeling different game to game, but yet using the same build. They make changes and don't tell you server side player tweak wise. Very frustrating.

I would like to see us be able to change our height and weight per player build. Then have that effect ratings a bit, kind of like how FIFA does it.

It was a suprising addition and a welcomed one. A custom logo editor like MLB The Show would be nice, but I don't expect it.

Re: Has Customization Revitalized NHL's EASHL?

We really like it but I wish/hope the arena and team unlocks carry over.

Our team plays battlefield, FIFA pro clubs and EASHL and then we are all 30+ with families so we can't grind as crazy as we all did in years past.

So it'd be nice if EASHL tracked our progress from NHL 16 to 17 to 18 and beyond. That we've played 400 + games even though only 50ish of them are in 17. So the ability to unlock new stadiums is SLOWWWWWW for us. It'd be nice to know that when 18 comes out we could have a quicker route to the middle tier stadiums or our goal songs or something. Rather than getting to the good unlocks a month before 18 comes out.
