Small sample obviously, but it looks to me like the animations are STILL choppily put together; you can very clearly see the breaks. Also the models and animations and everything all look similar. Which makes me scared that, once again, the game is running on the exact same engine with another coat of paint, which does not bode well for ball physics and hit variety.

There was a shot down the line that seemed to be featured, so I hope that means that maybe I'll see one get to the corner every once in a while? That didn't happen once last year, outfielders were way too quick to the ball in the corners to where getting doubles was really too hard. But I also worry that it will just happen all the time and thus be a problem. I'm cautiously optimistic.

That's all I can really do after reading that. Holy crappola Batman.

We have a robust roster making community who provides amazing classic rosters for our enjoyment every iteration.

The other things you speak of.....they have already said doubtful for most of those for years now.

Get over it.

Then don't buy the game. It really is a simple solution. You went about that post all wrong. It's a video game man. Not the end of civilization.

I am curious to see gameplay footage myself and check out how much ball physics have changed, but that's the reason we hold out for new info... we're willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.

For instance, I just saw some shots there that shows they are still rolling with their own form of a dusk sky, one which I'm not a fan of (when it gets all orange and brown and such before getting into blackness, instead of a deep-seeping blue), but I'm holding onto hope that they jump into different design decisions down the line and they just haven't finished with it yet. Also hoping someday for that authentic broadcast cam. These are small things for some, but big things for me.

Nevertheless, something keeps bringing me back to this game. That must mean it's because it's a great product, no matter the "staleness" that has plagued it for others. This trailer grabs me, yet again, like they always have. The Retro Mode is something that I'm looking forward too, though... so long as it's not just a camera change with some 8-bit music.

yeah....im one of the roster makers that made rosters from the 1950 season to the 1980 season....and they were good...others make very good rosters as well....but why not have the real likeness and real uniforms and real ball parks and real divisions...you can't play the 1969 season, because their is no way to get rid of dead team...their wasn't 30 teams in 1969...same for 1980...you can make fun of my post...but you either love baseball or your just happy playing a video game that can be so much more...thats fine...but i expect more

MLB THE SHOW IS PROBABLY THE BEST SPORTS VIDEO GAME...and thats saying something, with games like fifa and nba2k....but why shouldn't i want more out of the game....i don't want to simply buy roster updates....i want to be able to send my manager out to argue...like mvp baseball 2005...i want to be able to challenge any play, not have computer pick and choose...I WANT FREAKIN RAIN DELAYS and going back to the studio for a Honeymooners RERUN....haqhahahahaha....i love baseball....i want it all

Just to add onto your point about classic rosters. I honestly don't think SDS could make better historic rosters than the ones we already have. I've always been blown away by the detail and quality of the Caps. Especially the faces, it takes me an hour to make a rtts guy look like me. Yet these guys make photo realistic faces for tons of players.
