But we did not get that IMO as far as the offline experience. I am generally coming to the end of the every year purchase on all sports games this generation. NBA 2K17 is good for me until when/if I ever go to a new console NHL 16 Madden 17 The only every year purchase I make moving forward is MLB The Show and that is solely because of the franchise Y2Y saves. Otherwise I would stick with 16 as well. There is just not enough "wow" improvement anymore. Simple as that. But.......make no mistake. The current development team at Tiburon are supporting this game and I think have shown plenty of commitment to keep trying to improve and fix things. I can't ever complain about that. I think it is a slippery slope patching games and unfortunately fixing one thing breaks another thing and they have to decide what fix is more important overall for the fan base. It sucks, but it is reality. But I am in the minority that feels the game plays far tighter and is far more stable post patch.

Right there with you on the every year purchase thing. I tried playing Madden last night in my current CFM, but just couldn't get myself pulled back into it like I was. Getting back to the every year purchases.....I just told my son Monday night that I would be good with 2K17 for another year probably 2. I play My GM and with the expansion team possibilities along with rule changes that are possible at the end of each season.......it can keep this mode fresh for a long long time. I love Madden always have, but have been a little disappointed this year.

To be fair, they may have determined accuracy can be addressed via tuner.

A&S if you wanted to play out of the box you wouldn't even have formation subs in CFM as they were introduced in the day 1 patch that you wouldn't have.

So... I just bought Madden 17 a few days ago and will go back home from holiday soon. I've read that the game was fine at release but patches broke it? So do you think I should patch the game or not?
1. I'm not a HUGE NFL fan. I bought it because it was cheap and wanted a football game (last one was maybe 10 years ago)
2. I won't play simulation style, I just wanna have fun
3. I don't know more than 15 players (hey I'm French)

My opinion only here, but the game is not totally bad. You will definatley have fun playing it. As far as I'm concerned all of the patches up to this last one hasn't been anything but good patches. I'm a SIM player and not everything has been corrected in that area, but at the end of the day it is a videogame and made to have fun while playing it, and will never be perfect. I haven't downloaded the latest patch due to my internet being trash so can't comment on the new one. Long story short man.....if you are looking for a football game to scratch that football itch, and to have fun playing you made a great choice buying it. I would still be diehard playing it, but BBALL has grabbed my attention recently. HAVE FUN!!!
