Allow me to be overly pedantic for a moment:

I've played multiple seasons of Madden in an multi-user online Franchise at this point. I've seen the CPU punt the ball in outdoor games and into the wind plenty of times in said seasons.

The punts in these situations are shorter, absolutely, and that these punts can be unreasonably short relative to league averages is a balance issue that Tiburon should address. There are nevertheless still punts. I conclude via repeated first-hand observation that the CPU is plenty able to punt the ball. They possess that capability and they repeatedly and consistently utilize that tactic in the appropriate situations.

If the CPU were not capable of punting, the punter would never get on the field, be it because the CPU is calling plays poorly, the game crashing anytime the CPU ends up in 4th and long, or other reasons which would prevent the CPU from punting literally at all.

In the meantime while we wait for Tiburon to deliver a fix for this gameplay balance issue - that is literally all this is - you have several workaround options if this circumstance is offensive enough to hinder your total experience with the game:

• You can adjust the punting slider to make CPU punts consistently longer
• You can temporarily edit CPU punter Kick Power ratings before you play CPU teams outdoors
• You can adjust sliders to make playing offense vs CPU teams harder to compensate for shorter field position
• You can adjust sliders to make playing defense vs CPU teams harder to reduce CPU punting frequency

There are probably even more things you can do, but that's plenty enough with which to start.

So I just saw this and I have to say this looks pointless. Looks like the only real thing fixed was the wind arrow being backwards. What about QB accuracy? Or QB never running with the ball? Or kicking being to easy? Also how is this patch 7? I think this is more like patch 4. We got the day 1 patch a second patch not far after and then a patch in early October that did more good then bad with messing up things like QB accuracy and making kicking to easy. That was a little over 2 and a half months ago and we had not had a patch since. Oh forgot we had the patch that added new uniforms. Still that would be 5 then. So when did the other 2 happen?

Odd thing was I never have had the punt issue. The shortest punt the CPU has never had vs me was like 25 yards and that is once in a blue moon and most of the CPU punts are 40-50 yards. When it comes to the scrambling thing I have only heard like one person say any thing about it was going to be fixed. So I don't know why or how people thought it was said that it was going to be fixed and also because that has been a issue for a few years and even got worse last year after patches I have a felling that it is a hard kind of thing to fix and would not be something they could fix with a patch.

Quick and perhaps dumb question. People are talking using the OOB version. If you do that, what big changes are you missing? I know color rush and some stretch play tuning, but any other "game breakers" that were fixed?

For funsies, I went back to OOB and played skins vs rams in Play Now. Goff was 8 of 16 with 2 drops, 1 pick and 5 bad throws. He had 2-3 other high or outside throws that receivers hauled in but at least 5 of his throws were high, way off target, or way out front.

QBA- Stated 2 weeks ago on Twitter that they were investigating. No way can a investigation from 2 weeks ago go to verify a bug, fix a bug, in-house house certification and console certification in two weeks.

QB Scramble- No fix. There was a glitch fixed on the user side of QB scrambles.

FG's too easy? I'm assuming that is what you were alluding to, about a week ago they said they would look into it and this was via Twitter.

The last title update was the beginning of October. The next one will be in December/January,

Horrible drafts with 18 studs in every draft just in the first round. And no formation subs.
