I am a sim gamer, and nothing in this patch fixes the two issues most talked about among the sim community here (punting and QB acc) that popped up after the last patch.

An MUT gamer however would be pleased with this patch. Their chief issue (H2H) was patched in. Must be nice.

The reason the us vs them narrative has started on this board and others is because one group of gamers is feeling disenfranchised. If both groups were catered to, the narrative would have never existed. Regardless of how you feel about it, MUT functions clearly took priority this time and people feel burned about it. I'm glad you dont, but sim gamers do.

Also if they couldn't find the time to fix a major glitch in a patch that itself was created by a patch a month ago, I'm allowed to feel burned about it.

The fact that we are arguing about being able to punt a football properly in a football video game is indicative of failure by the creator of the game. We are not talking about stats being slightly off in the same engine and Sim gamers crying boo-hoo... we are talking about a football video game where punters literally can't punt a football.

If EA made a chess video game, but due to some glitches you couldn't perform the castle-ing move, yet at the same time they patch their chess game to include personalized chess pieces for micro-purchases, people would be upset.

Ipso-facto, people are upset.

The feeling is completely baseless.

All parts of the game except Draft Champions were directly touched with this title update, and all modes will benefit from the on-field core gameplay fixes which did make it into the update. Heck, Franchise even got a content update too with a bunch of new lines of commentary for Play The Moments, one of the more notable new Franchise features of this year's game. Not to mention some other Franchise-specific bug fixes.

It is unfortunate that the punting issue didn't get addressed in time for this update. But don't try to spin this into something it isn't. There is no "MUT vs sim" battle for attention at Tiburon in reality.

False equivalence. The CPU very much is still capable of punting the ball. Poorly in adverse weather conditions, sure. But they still execute the punt.

A couple of years ago, there was "0" access to the dev team by the avg forum poster, zero!!!

I would hate for OS to be tagged as one of those communities to be avoided by the dev team because of post like this.

Just putting something out there to be mindful of, before we hit "Submit Reply".

Yeah you're right, it's not fair to engage in hyperbole, which I am in a lot of ways. I admit that.

There was some good content for CFM as well as MUT.

I will say though the "Sim vs MUT" battle is among the GAMERS, not Tiburon. Im sorry I should have been more clear on that point. I'm sure Tiburon just would not want to get into the narrative of the us vs them thing, but it is indeed happening. Madden gamers are becoming polarized and growing bitter about the "other sides effect on the game."

And no; the CPU is not capable of punting. (it's not actually adverse weather, the glitch occurs only during head on winds of 7-8+ MPH. Those wind conditions are common for people who play CFM's with outdoor teams) If the CPU were capable of punting, gamers wouldnt be sending angry Tweets and posting here about it. Also CleveCluby's head probably wouldn't be about to burst.

This is very true and something to keep in mind.

This place used to have developers interacting with us until we couldn't act civilized with them and since then, nada, nothing.

Most of the discussion now takes place on Twitter and I think Twitter or OS or any other place on Social Media is a good place to hide behind a keyboard.

If you treat people with respect, they will treat you with respect.
