This punting issue only popped up for me after the early October patch. I've had to super sim any CPU punts since then (unless it's a dome game).

Super lame. But if I don't do it the CPU only punts 15-20 yards which puts me mid field for easy scoring and it ruins competitive games.

What's also strange is a patch caused this issue to pop up, why can't they issue a patch to fix it?

I don't want to be a negative Nancy here, but this year has to be the worst year in terms of patches delivering and fixing things. (and in a few cases make things much worse).

They really need to get their bug testing and QA process down better. This year has been amateur hour on patches, big time.

Uggg, looks like I have to continue to super sim one of my favorite parts of the game (returns).

Maybe there's still a tuner on the way to address the punting? I cant believe they'd deliberately lie about it considering they are in good regards with the community.

The QB accuracy must be against CPU...because user to user it's a toughie to pass with a mediocre QB...apologies if it's just user vs CPU

Of course not...that would make too much sense! Seriously, you have to wonder a bit...just a bit...about the interest and competency of this dev team as it relates to Human vs cpu (both Coach and regular play) mode. It really is embarrassing at this point.

I asked Clint why punting wasn't fixed, and I stated we were dissapointed it wasn't fixed and linked to this thread.

Here was his response:

I guess they didn't think CPU controlled teams being able to punt in a football game was important enough to fix. Also it would seem over a month was too "finite" to find time to fix it... Lastly, he affirmed what we already knew... they prioritize MUT over the concerns of the sim community.

Of course I am dissapointed yet another painfully obvious glitch in Madden made it through QA and will go unfixed... but I am not at all surprised.

If I had an exclusive license of a video game where MUT made me millions I'd ignore us too. And laugh all the way to the bank like they have since the tyranny of the exclusive licensing started a decade ago.

Same as it ever was.
