In Play Now online it's fine. But play against anyone that is elite 3 and above in pro am and you'll see that it's a total joke.

Re: Are Three-Pointers Overpowered in NBA 2K17?

I only play offline with Real Shooting % and slightly modified All-Star sliders (I think my 3PT point is 47 or 48) and I was pretty happy with my shooting percentages in my first season.

Stats:
Spoiler

Some players are obviously way higher than real life (Smart & Green) and some are way too low (Bradley & Jerebko), but with things like shot selection, usage rates, training, etc. factored in, then I think we're pretty close to real life overall.

edit: I should say that I don't play every game - I only play around 20 in full, but do intervene in a lot of games. In the games I've played in full I've shot as low as in the teens and as high as 58%. However, most games are in the low-to-mid 30's.

The bulls logo is not at the same area, it is more far (further) from the paint in real life but the distance between the 3 pt lign and the logo is the same. How can you explain it?

i'm sorry Michael because i'm always criticizing 2k games, even if you are in the game, but it is truth, there is a big problem of size court!!
How does the size of logos confirm one court is smaller than others?

I'm open to the idea but I'm not convinced by this theory nor the photo comparisons.

If I show one picture with the same dude but in one pic his eyes, ears and arms are longer: this wouldn't prove he is taller in the pic with longer body parts.

Let say 2k stretched the Chicago Bulls font logo on the baseline to match the real life formating. Would the video game court need to be expanded to match the real life formatting?

It's also worthwhile to compare the modern video game court to the modern court in reality.

I agree that they are slightly OP but only in the sense that the way defense is balanced online it's actually a better look than a layup no matter who you are using due to badges and the hand holding inside D with insta-rips and blocks that should not even be possible. Right now online there are a lot of times where 2k punishes you for being inside and not shooting a 3.

Thank you for your answer!!!
The size of the logos are the same on the 3 pics! only the place is different.
Everybody knows that the court of 2k are too small!!
When i'm trying to compare the modern video game court to the modern court in reality i find nothing!
But when i watch the 2nd pic of the video "how to run a triangle offense" it stings my eyes!!
Watch the gap between the paint and the logo in real compare to 2k!! it is huge, you can put a shoes of Shaquille Oneal, not in 2k!
I think it is one of the biggest clue we can't overlooked!!

The distance between the logo and the paint doesn't need to be shoot in the same angle to show that there is more space to put a big shoe.
Try to make a zoom you will see what i mean.

Whatever the angle, you can't see the difference between the mark of the paint, or if the inner half circle is smaller than the reality. But the space between the paint and the logo is easily visible.

And to come back to the comparison with modern video game court to the modern court in reality, Bulls 96 court pic comes from 2k16 game and the size is the same than a modern court. So i think it is a good example.

I'm studying the 2k12 2001 kings, i don't know why i thought of this team, maybe because 2k previded us to use it, i find it suspect, so much suspect that NBA changed a lot of paint, the "modern paint", to cover up the tracks.
We can see the same difference than for the bulls between the logo and the paint.

For the modern court the only difference i found are the word stretched by 2k on the sideline. For example for the magic you can see in real life, "FANDUEL" but in the game it is still written, "orlando magic".
