Yep, I have the settings penalties references maxed but the "chance" sliders in that section for CPU pens in general was at 80, with hooking / slashing / tripping all at about 75 and the rest in the 40 zone, so I have some wiggle room there.

No probs with human infractions when I committed them. Goaltender interference aside, all called. Just wasn't seeing anything even call-worthy from the AI apart from two hooks and a trip in three games. Usually my play-style gets two trips per game minimum.

Scheduled on the road for Washington so that might be a more feisty encounter. ( I'm essentially Nashville but relocated to Seattle. Sorry Preds fans. )

On a positive note, I have seen this in action:

• Improved the reliability of one timers by adding quicker snapshots for situations where there isn't enough time to take a full slapshot.

Got a nice goal from Craig Smith in a busy slot where normally the shooter would be late and fan the puck.

Pretty happy with this patch. The skating is very smooth and the transitions / puck pickups seems to work as intended and look pretty slick as well.

Played 2 quick games and really enjoyed them. I won 3-1 and 3-2, all natural good looking goals. None scripted, deflections seemed better. CPU still has that boost but it did seem to be toned down.

Funny about the penalties, 7 minute periods i had 3 power plays per game and the ai had 4 to 5. I'll keep an eye on that though. Good stuff.

I've been wanting to pick up 17 since release. Loved 16 after all the patches and have been holding off getting 17. With this patch is it worth a buy now or should I keep playing 16? Basically I'm a quick play, season mode and HUT guy. Any opinions are appreciated.

That's my plan too. Can get more natural faceoff fights. Instead of say Dorset facing off against Schenn when Gudas is on the ice.
