I am a hardcore hockey fan, but I haven't yet bought an NHL game on PS4. For me the skill stick completely ruins the game, it makes fourth liner muckers look like the games elite. It is way to immersion breaking to see guys like Matt Martin dangle like he was Evgeni Malkin. The puck acts like it is a magnet on the stick, and not sliding on ice like it has a flat surface. I never see it bouncing unless it hits the goal and bounces over his head. In all my years watching hockey I have never seen many goals where the puck bounces off the goalie like it does on Montreal's first goal here..https://youtu.be/za1gk3yTkF4?t=242 but I know this is a common goal, as it was when I last bought an NHL game.

I just wish that with this full price we would get some more support with the game, I know it's a big hockey world they cover but comparing how much MLB and 2k update the rosters and tuners I always felt that the NHL series lacks that.
Sure HUT always has updated promotions but a weekly roster update is too much to ask for?

Just got it at $38.99 . So far it's been great . No idea why people are complaining about not having enough content?
Seriously you have GM/Franchise Mode very in depth this year, Be a Pro career offline, Season, Playoffs, WC of Hockey, EASHL , HUT, and Dynasty Draft Mode...
Really don't see any modes lacking vs any other sports game as it has some mode for everyone.

I'm having fun this year. A bit of a superficial observation but I love the goalie posture update. I've seen some amazingly realistic saves this year.

Menus are feeling fresher. Passing is trending right. Goal variety seems to be improving.

I'm a little bummed about HUT, I loved it so much the year it was unveiled when players retired and you started with OHL kids on your roster. Part of the point of the mode was to slowly grind your way to AHL guys than NHL guys. Every year they seem to trend toward gift wrapping you more and more NHLers.
