Madden NFL 17 Tuning Update Available Now, Here Are The Details (9-23)

I've played numerous games with the tuner and games without. I enjoyed the game play most with the release day patch and no tuner. I'm not saying the new tuner ruins the game by any means. Madden is a solid title. However, post release, the players felt as if they had weight. Now, it seems they've tightened the game up a bit, and players just don't have that same weighty feel to them. Tackling is another concern. I am not seeing the same variety in animations I was seeing prior to the first tuner. Now, even less since they reduce the broken tackle chance with this tuner. I felt like at one time I could push a pile with my running back. I don't feel that way now.

On ps4, is it r1 or L1 that causes fumbles? I may be totally off, but I thought the manual said L1 but a loading screen said R1..

Re: Madden NFL 17 Tuning Update Available Now, Here Are The Details (9-23)

I played one game last night with the new tuner, it felt pretty much the same to me except running did seem more difficult than before, which pleases me. I thought running was too easy for both Human and CPU teams.

I still had a throw out of sack fumble, but it was actually the CPU QB and not me this time. Like some other people here I was really struggling with "fumbles" by my QB when he would get hit late. I don't want that feature removed, I hope it was just tweaked down slightly like they said, because I think fumbles were over done for both Human and CPU controlled QB's before. I was giving up too many turnover fumbles by my QB.

I did have Matt Forte fumble against me, but he recovered it.

I thought kicking didn't seem any easier or harder, but my game was sunny.

I used Charters sliders and play on All-Madden. I won by 10 as Pats over Jets.

You are correct my bad. I overreacted. I just like the game so much that I would hate to see go to the wrong direction.

Anyway, yesterday I played only one game so it was just me game but what I notice is.

Good:
-Rush defense. Defenders take better angles when pursuit.
-Still saw a couple organic knockouts
-It's harder to run
-the game still feels the same as before.

Bad:
-I'm wondering if the cpu will still get games with good rushing. Since it was only one game hopefully this doesn't mean all games will be like this.
-safeties are getting most of the tackles. (3-4)

Same:
-Qb accuracy still to high. Both qb end up with 71% exact on both and 300yds shy. (Gabbert - Carr). I need to see a bit more of erratic throws from the user. Specially Gabbert [emoji5]

-I didn't see any improvement on the qb awareness. Carr drop back and he actually ran backwards to the side loosing even more yds on the sack. EA really need to focus on qb behavior next time. This will improve the experience 100%.

Wish:
Madden 2018 just focus on getting OL pass rush/interaction and qb behavior and keep all the rest the same and I will still buy it

Aight I was a lil harsh, but I see this literally every day. The second the patch drops it'll be posted here, trust.

it's ok. i get it. thanks rich.

i recognise i'm a different type of madden player. my play time is similar to most a casual gamer but i'm a offline CFM guy (who wants deep realism) and will never change.

i'm not on social media and don't pay attention to key developments like hardcore madden CFM guys do.

when i come here looking for specific answers, it can be hard to find them when so many people play online CFM but don't necessarily say it. you have to read between the lines & sometimes, after a lot of reading, you just gotta ask.

I'm kinda in that same boat as you, I don't have that much time to play as I'm always training for basketball, and I got school. I just check here and Twitter a lot, a lot of good info. But yeah the second the patch is out it'll be on here.

gotta say, reducing the throw out of sack would get me one extra sack per game. especially when facing the better QB like rodgers, wilson, cam et al.
