bp, I played a match last night where I did not let go of the shield button when I was on offense.

Pass, shield, pass, shield, pass, shield, pass and here is where you change it up, shoot. Goal.

So now there are two ways to cheese in the demo.

Hold down sprint button until you get near goal and shoot.
Hold down shield button and station to station pass until you feel like shooting.

I have never seen a fifa game in this unfinished state.

Yeah. It just has a weird vibe. And again, why rewrite set pieces and physical play and then have it simply resemble the park the bus cpu ball shielding mechanic introduced in 15, and have virtually no fouls in the game?

I'm not normally inflammatory about games these days, but WTF is going on with FIFA 17's gameplay!?

Namely, that you first gotta make sure, when playing on higher levels of difficulty, to establish a realistically secure and compact defensive organization, before you go expecting of the AI to not play around with you by skyrocketing its pass accuracy and running around you in circles. If you want the AI to play realistically, you must first check yo' self before you wrek yo' self, fellas! Now, now, i will provide footage to back up my promiseful claims, upon request, if you truly want to see '17 for the gem into which it has been polished. I truly would be devastated to see people come away with such blatantly erroneous perceptions just because they didn't care to take into consideration the AI reflects your own level of competence. So if you defend weakly on the whole, it will not always exploit this blatant weakness by scoring, but it might just run around in circles, entertain you as a fool, until you get your self together, and contemplate on what your gameplay is worth. No fouls, you say? I shall demonstrate to differ. Question your self, if the AI never fouls me.... does that mean i haven't been posing sufficient threat in order for it to take my players down? Please copy small fragments of my text if you feel incensed to comment or recommend, as i want as many of you peeps to see this. And to see the footage, for sure! I must make a new thread dedicated to re-establishing some direly needed objectivity in here. As much as i understand every one of your concerns i also understand more than ever how you make the AI play in the way it does. And you'll see it for your self. In an amount just short of 10 games i saw more diversity in AI gameplay than i've seen in my entire dysfunctional relationship with this FIFA AI. Now, now, i hope y'all take this serious. Request and ye shall receive!

The more I play FIFA 17, the more I enjoy it and see new little things from time to time. The more I play the PES 2017 demo, the more I enjoy it as well. I honestly can't be against anyone getting either of the two games this year, and I'll probably end up with both myself before all is said and done.

It's a great thing for gamers to have not one but two really solid soccer video games to play this year! That's how I'm looking at things.

I've only had 2 matches with it, just have been busy with other games. It has potential, it seems, but some of it throws me off. Eitherway, it's the demo, it's sad to say that I'm still cautious of the full-game, and then the common full-game post patch (after all the FUT guys make their comments).

Yeah same here Matt I haven't played many matches as well so my comments are reserved. I still plan on picking up the retail version even though my initial impressions of the game were underwhelming.
