NASCAR Heat Evolution Available, Post Your Impressions Here

Mo, it was crazy last night. There were guys who were on the game for 20 minutes playing at the lowest difficulty settings, posting reviews about how bad the game was. I'd like to see somebody post a review that has done a 400 lap race.I haven't seen that yet. I'm harsh critic. Let's see how it stands up.

I bought it on my lunch break, looking forward to checking it out later this evening. I'm not expecting awe-inspiring greatness (I still have my copy of 06 for that), all I really want is a decent NASCAR racing experience with the tracks and drivers well represented. Give me that and I'm happy.

I'd be the most curious about that, because I'd love to do a full 100% season...I just am very concerned about some of the flaws :/

Re: NASCAR Heat Evolution Available, Post Your Impressions Here

So, racing the AI can be alot of fun. I've gotten a good 5 or so shorter length races in tonight. I do find though, with the AI on auto, onc eyou get out front, if you hit your marks and run smooth, especially at almost wide open tracks like Atlanta, or Texas... it's good bye AI. See you later.

That being said, I don't see myself liking this game long term. I really don't think it's meant for a controller. I've gotten steering to a point I'm somewhat comfortable, but braking? Good luck. touch the brake and it's spin city. I've tried feathering the brakes, slowly, gently, it doesnt matter, it's like once you hit a certain point with them, you're done. It's maddening.

Any tips on the brakes?

Brandon makes a really good point - I took the AI off auto/dynamic difficulty - and set my own difficulty at each track usually between 98 and 103

I was just about to post the exact same question. I'd like to know this as well.
