I think a lot of people are - as usual - jumping to conclusions. Open minded people indeed must be a dying breed. Did some of yall even read the blog?. I for one liked what i saw - cheesy? sure? I guess?. If you consider them showing a sort of background on the life of an nba player and allowing us too make decisions as it goes along - that's pretty much the format of almost every story game out there - you get a scripted storyline and the choices might come from open world/different archs etc but it's all still scripted. So i don't see how this seems to be made a 2k specific flaw. Hopefully in the future we can indeed have the option to just play my career without storyline for the people who want it. It's not the future yet though.

I think it served it's purpose it gave a glimpse without giving away much of the story. I'm intrigued and I think the two player idea is great for all the people that say your teammates don't make shots now you control that guy

You should read the MC blog - it was stated story will vary according to draft position etc.
