It has nothing to do with digital copies.
Ea servers being down don't effect a digital copy any different than a disc copy of the game.

Just an FYI that the servers are back up for me on Xbox One, however are still down for me on PS4.

Hopefully PS4's servers are back up for you guys tonight sometime.

If you're having issues playing your digital games, make sure you activate your ps4 as the primary system in the settings.
