I don't think they'll change in time for release but I do think they'll be added in future patches and updates

On the basis that most of these ratings were awful to begin with.

Who's rating would you say is egregiously awful and incorrect? And overall rating aside which players don't perform like themselves?

I'm not saying the ratings are perfect but considering all that goes into team and player performances (coaching strategies, team tendencies, player tendencies, individual attributes, badges, etc) I'd say 2k does a pretty good job.

I also don't go through and look a ratings for each player but I don't think I've come across a situation where a player is performing way above or below there capability. And even then this happens in real life from time to time. In the finals Curry didn't look like the same dominant player he was during the regular season. There are also plenty of instances where players perform much better than what is expected.
