How is the front 7 weak? The unit was a top 3 defense last year and top 5 over the last 3 years. They have guys like Calais Campbell, 1st round pick Robert Nkemdiche, 11.5 sacks Chandler Jones, Markus Golden (rated as the best rookie pass rusher last year according to PFF), Deone Buchanan, and a deep dline rotation. Honestly some rookies are rated better than others ,and offensive first skins qb got ratings for 9 games he played well so they may have been a little harsh,but their wr group seems like they under rated as if they under achieved last year

Scheme change for Jones, nkemdiche is unknown how well he will do because of his inconsistent play in college and lost of your DT may have attributed to that

I was more so referring to the OVR of those named players in Madden.

Thank God for player editing this year(in general, I actually agree with most of Kane's ratings) but that won't fix the team ratings, I don't understand how there's no formula for these, where does the OVR come from because some of these team ratings are pretty accurate while others are remarkably confusing.

Slightly, a homer here, I admit it. But, I actually believe the Falcons D will be MUCH IMPROVED this year. I'm curious to see if their 79 D rating moves to like 85, maybe by the end of the season as ratings are adjusted. Trufant is a solid #1 CB. I LOVE the rookie SS Neal, and believe he will have an immediate impact. Allen looks to be improved at FS. We just picked up Freeney who will prob be a pass rush specialist. I still think Beasley will become a solid player, if not all-pro. We'll see how the move to LB treats him. I can understand a 79 right now, though. Our overall LB corps is a little suspect. So, gonna have to see how they gel together. But, I have a feeling with Quinn leading the team and the pieces we now have that our D will be much improved.

Nah, perks of a 12-4 squad getting healthy again on offense. Not to mention a defense that played better than its 2014 squad with a terrible offense due to injuries.
